The Above is a Main Battle Tank built as a set of Powered Armor.  The Armor has an activation roll to simulate weaker armor on the vehicles flanks, rear, and top.  Most of the Armor protection is against Physical attacks as Energy attacks could set off the vehicles fuel and ammunition.  The Characteristics represent that the Tank is a crewed vehicle, and while it might take body damage and still in theory function, the injuries to the crew would prevent current operations.

A mentor would probably be at the same level as other superheroes because of age, and they started out at a lower level (150 points versus 250 Points).  Because of that, they would have more Martial Arts Skills, and Overall Levels.  They would also have Teamwork, and the new gadgets that the team has come up with over the years.

Yes, with Boxing as the Martial Art.

 

Hero (the set right above for the same cost) would also work.

 

Martial Artist I has the advantage of DEX and PD, while Hero has STR and CON.

 

I see that Martial Artist I as the various sidekicks for the Martial Artist II superhero, and the Hero as the main character in action movies.

Your question reminded me of the old TFG superhero game Supervillains.  One of the skills a character could have was called Weapons Master.  They could make a roll and increase the characteristics of another character.
