Utensil
Must one really buy Anchor for points for a ship? How often would anyone use such?
steriaca
Well, we assume an anchor comes with a boat (either sea or air), and is simply part of the special effect on how it flys and/or swims. It's function is more cosmetic in a superhero campaign. Unless it is a part of a supervehicle and it has some other functions. As then the special effect is the other functions. Like buying Clinging for the vehicle with the special effect that the anchor digs into the earth to stop the vehicle from floating away/sailing away while airborne/waterborn. assault
What steriaca said. Alternatively, how many cups of coffee does your character drink in a day? How many points is a cup, or a spoon?
LoneWolf
An anchor would be included in the base cost of the vehicles swimming. Vehicle movement does not cost END to use so an anchor would be considered the special effect of using a vehicles swimming to not move. Not everything in the Hero System costs points. When you are building something in the Hero System the basic abilities of the form are included at no charge. For example, you don’t have to pay for normal senses and the ability to pick up something when you build your character. Not being able to perform the basic abilities of the form is a complication. You get what you pay for!! ...only half kidding, based on some of the responses I see in these forums. (And most of the rationale for 6e). I tend to view points as a game currency rather than as hard math. Duke Bushido
