Re: WWYCD #122 (or so): Strange Visitor

That's it' date=' we need to have the cosmic gamemaster get all of our characters together from across the muiltiverse and have the "Event" game to end all event games.[/quote']

I think the Crisis of Infinite Foxbats might be exactly the right kind of event to spark that.

It could start when the Foxbat of one dimension becomes consort to Isthvatha V'Han (perhaps she was lonely after losing Flesh Gordon), while simultaneously, Tyrannon kills another dimension's version of Foxbat and recorporates him as one of the many forms of Tyrannon. Skarn the Shaper decides that is too ridiculous even for him to put up with, and seeks to wipe Foxbat from all realities, but Tyrannon and V'Han had both considered such a possibility and each set up a countermeasure... and the interaction of both counter-effects being triggered simultaneously causes reality to fracture, bringing together the Foxbats of all dimensions - Golden Age Foxbat, Animated Foxbat, Foxbat for All Seasons, Foxbat-X, Foxbat-Prime, Foxbatman, Foxbat 1,000,000, Foxbat Red and Foxbat Blue, Bizarro Foxbat, The League Of Extraordinary Foxbats and all the rest - and causing one version to manifest complete with the Infinity Glove! Thus, the heroes of all the worlds have to get together to undo the chaos caused by all the uber-beings, and prevent Foxbat from remaking all of reality in his image.

...

Or maybe not.

We've had our disagreements but I like the way you think.

The Mask of Justice would also be especially interested in comparing notes with Argus (vision powers, ho!) and Horus-Re (truth sense and allegedly a god, which brings up the possibility that Nick's family heirloom actually has a divine origin.)

Rock Bottom

Rock would defer to team leader Thunderfist in most cases, after all RB is still pretty much a rookie.

For folks who make a decent first impression, the New Guard has guest rooms at their HQ. (Maybe even for some marginal types, as that's the best place to keep an eye on them.)

Rock is reasonably easy-going, and will try to be a good host. He'll flirt with attractive male visitors if he gets the impression they'd be interested.

The GGU doesn't have a major anti-mutant prejudice problem, and is generally Tarnished Silver to Bronze Age in tone.

Calculus

Being a paranoid sort, Calculus will attempt to get as much information about the visitor's world as he can without divulging anything about his own. Given that he has a jealously guarded Secret ID, Calculus would in most cases prefer for one of his allies to take on the task of playing host.

The big exception would be underaged heroes (and villains.) Remembering his own days as a superkid, Calculus would be keenly interested in giving them the benefit of his experience (and setting teens headed for trouble in the right direction.)

From the visitor's perspective, the main feature of Calculus' world is that it's the GGU in the 1980s. With a bit of foreknowledge, certain visitors could do quite well for themselves in a week. Again, there's no real anti-mutant prejudice movement as such. There's an undercurrent of anti-metahuman resentment, however, that will peak at the end of the decade. (Then die down again.)

Style - Sailor Io: Sailor Io’s world would fascinate Style. Magical research is Style’s primary field of interest, and a world where high powered magic / psionic powers operated hidden from mundane society would be a tempting place to explore. While she was in his world, Style would try to learn all he could about her fey enemies, offering information about magical techniques she might find useful in exchange.

Flesh Gordon – Tiger Shark: “You have mighty undersea powers! Groovy!†Flesh would attempt to involve Tiger Shark in the adventures of the Beach Watch. He would also pester Tiger shark with questions along the lines of “What’s it like to communicate telepathically with fish†and “Why did you choose to venture forth from your incredible undersea kingdom?†Eventually, protests that Tiger Shark is not in fact a lost prince of Atlantis will be heeded. Flesh may attempt to introduce Tiger Shark to his occasional team mate Hyborg .

Re: WWYCD #122 (or so): Strange Visitor

Kira Midori

Instead of the fairly generic superhero world she's an exile in, let's return Kira to her home timeline before having the visitor come by.

Of course, this will require a little explanation of said timeline.

Kira's society is post-scarcity, with the few crimes committed being those of passion, or teenaged thrill-seeking. Racial and gender discrimination are things of the past. There hasn't been a war in over a century. The small but well-equipped police force mostly deals with traffic violations, lost children, and other public service matters.

Psionic ability is fairly common, with around 10% of the population endowed with at least minimal telepathy. Politeness and thorough training restrict the use of psionics somewhat, but espers don't feel overly oppressed.

For the few crimes that do occur, rehabilitation and restoration are the primary goals of the penal system. A person criminally insane enough that they cannot be reformed is sentenced to "personality death." Use of the personality death penalty is politically controversial and provokes lively debate among the population at every election.

The mores of the society are somewhat puritanical by 21st Century standards. Clothing tends to conceal the body, extramarital sex is severely frowned upon (and there is no double standard) and entertainment is rather bland, with little violence or sexual content.

Genetic engineering and cybernetic prostheses are well-developed, but social pressure keeps them subtle, primarily used to correct deficiencies rather than add new abilities. Robotics and AI reached their peak during the last war, with disastrous results; research into creating artificial lifeforms is strictly regulated. Time travel is in its infancy, with only one-way trips possible, and low accuracy.

The shiny new technology is the hyperspace engine. Many young people have joined the Explorer Corps to escape the boredom of Earth. No aliens have been found yet, but three or four habitable planets are preparing for colonization.

History as it is taught in school visibly diverges from "mainstream" sometime in the 19th Century, with a very different WWI, no WWII, but the first of a series of Atomic Wars in the late 1980s. There is no record of costumed superbeings, or verifiable metahumans prior to the emergence of psionics in the mid-21st Century.

Kira will remember her own experiences as a time-lost stranger, and try to be a good host to any visitors. Her police duties are fairly light, and she's one of the few people on her world who's had experience with superbeings, so she'd be assigned as tour guide in any case.

Female visitors will be invited to share Kira's apartment; male ones will have to settle for being put up in a hotel. Obviously non-human or brightly costumed types will get a lot of polite but intense attention. Obvious robots will be given a lot of elbow room by the locals until they prove non-hostile.

Many visitors will probably find Kira's world a pleasant vacation. Violence-craving types will no doubt find it boring, as those who like bedding any new women they meet. A few might want to take advantage of the advanced medical facilities, (though cures for bad side effects of superpowers aren't going to be easy, they don't have the experience) or build up credit to purchase advanced technology.

Iron Age types might spend the entire stay looking for the "catch" in this seemingly utopian society.

Known criminals will be warned to stay on their good behavior, and certainly not allowed to take any technology home. Those that go ahead and commit crimes are likely to discover just how efficient the legal process is. And personality death is no fun.

Special Agent Trent, alas, will need to spend his entire stay in a special psi-proofed room for his own protection, sorry.

Menagerie would be fairly stymied by this world. Part of her would be bored by it seemingly oppressive and dull standards of behavior, though the technological development is impressive. No mutants would be confusing for her and she'd assume they were either: In hiding, the psionically endowed were "mutants" or they'd been wiped out/surppressed genetically. As she is obviously non human, she'd draw attention and that would worry her a great deal though the lack of other supers would be tempting, she'd want to go "home" as soon as possible.

Pinnacle would find it pretty cool, kind of like the future shown in Demolition Man. She's not Iron Age, but cynical enough to look for the "catch" but eventually, she'd except that there wasn't one. Her costume and attitudes are pretty loose particularly by this world's standard they might find her slutty or she'd think them uptight but basically good people. Overall, she'd enjoy the vacation.

Stopwatch would be going out of her mind with boredom after about, oh, a day. No night life? No fast cars? No sex? AGH! Her naturally impish nature would drive her to commit some kind of mischeif (being able to stop time makes her good at it) hopefully not enough to get mind wiped.

Re: WWYCD #122 (or so): Strange Visitor

I'm going to follow the format that the Watcher used for his posts and try to do at ten characters a day. I apologize if I miss anyone. It won't be anything personal, its just that there are so many characters that have appeared on the lists.

This set of responses will be for Sailor Io (Mina).

For almost all of the visitors the initial encounter will probably start off similarly. The Senshi will end the battle by destroying their opponent, which in many cases will provoke the classic hero fight. If attacked, the Senshi will utilize defensive and restraining attacks and attempt to reason with their new opponent. They aren't going to want to hurt the stranger unless they have to. Sailor Io will utilize her Io Arctic Freeze (entangle attack) at the first opportunity. The fight will probably switch to a debate rather than a battle when Sailor Io says something along the lines of, "Koto has already been responsible for at least three deaths, and if we let her go will most assuredly kill yet more people. And you'd have had us release her?" This will eventually lead to the Senshi taking the visitor to a river near a local private school for a long conversation about both their world and their visitors world. The visitor will learn that in this world, there aren’t any “classical” superheroes or mutants, rather the creatures from myth and legend are real. This is a world where mystical creatures, beings from other realms, magic users, and psycics hide themselves from the mundane world. The Senshi act as humanity’s protectors against the those of the supernatural groups that would seek to kill or do major harm.

For human looking adult heroes that seem capable of looking after themselves, the Senshi will pool their allowances (fortunately a couple of them get fairly nice ones) and put them up in a decent hotel for the week. Non-human looking adults will be helped to hide to the best of the Senshi’s ability.

Warp: Since Warp seems fairly charismatic and as like a nice guy, during the course of the initial conversation the Senshi will probably end up relaxing and revealing who they really are.

Mina and some of the others will probably check in with him after school each day, and show him around Tokyo. Mina will be intrigued by the fact that he is able to travel between dimensions and teleport and may try seeing if he’s been to any of the realms they’ve visited (Arcadeia: land of the Fae, The Mirrorverse, the North Pole: "yes the one with Santa," etc). Since Senshi powers can be somewhat flexible, she may try seeing if she can learn from him how to teleport or travel between dimensions on her own. The fact that only one of the current Senshi can do that has proven problematic at times.

Towards the end of the week, Io might privately seek his advice on some of the ethical dilemmas she has been facing. She has to be strong for her friends and so much of the time they just go with what she decides. Getting an unbiased opinion from someone she’s come to respect would be helpful.

Microman II: Sailor Io and Bladestar will both be intrigued by the fact that Mircroman II is a sentient robot, and he may well hear at least a passing reference to the former Android Senshi, Sailor Vallis.

Since Microman II can shrink, he will probably end up staying in one of the Senshi’s dorm rooms. After all, there is no way they can put him up in a local hotel. Though they aren’t anywhere near his equivalent, Microman might get a kick out of the robotic pets that Sailor Io made for her friends last Christmas. And I can see him engaging in quite a few technical discussions with Io and Bladestar, leading to lost looks from the rest of the Senshi.

As with Warp, towards the end of the week Io might seek his advice on some of the ethical dilemma’s she has been facing.

Starguard: I have a feeling Starguard is going to have a very hard time accepting the way things are in this world. Over the course of the initial conversation, Sailor Io, will probably decide that Starguard’s naivety and innocence is likely to end up getting her into serious trouble while she is here.

Ultimately she will end up being invited to stay in Mina and Mitzy’s dorm room for the week. Mina will quietly request that one of the animal companions (Jade or Sebastian) keep a close eye on her, not because Mina doesn’t trust her but because she’s worried about her. I have a feeling both the parrot and the cat will end up gaining several pounds as they talk Starguard into ordering them pizza, getting them ice cream, getting them fresh fruit, etc.

Io will probably try to keep Starguard away from any of the conflicts that happen during the week. Though, I have a feeling that she will quickly tire of the overprotection and insist on helping. Actually, I can see Starguard, despite the protests of Jade and Sebastian, setting off one morning while the rest of the Senshi are in school to do something, though I’m not sure exactly what. But I have a feeling the results will be dramatic.

Cyrande: Due to her extreme attractiveness and revealing costume, she may well quickly pick up on quite a few "He’s MY boyfriend” vibes from the various female Senshi. The Senshi will probably be somewhat wary of Cyrande at first. Cyrande looks a bit too much like a Mah-ki or a Fae and their may be just a bit of concern that she actually is playing a deeper game of some type. Cyrande may well notice one or more of the Senshi glancing over to Oden (one of the knights) during the first conversation to see how he is reacting to her. [see WWYCD #106 for why.]

The fact that she is obviously non-human, would be problematic. But fortunately she can hide that fact without much trouble. The Senshi will initially check her into a hotel (though once they become more comfortable with her, they may invite her to the dorms). They will request that she not leave the room without disguising her features. Once they get to know her, the Senshi and Cyrande will get along well. They will be happy to show her the sites and just let her have a chance at a vacation. Though the Scouts will probably show subtle signs of concern the whole week about her trying to steal their boyfriends. Something the Knights probably will enjoy. Means extra attention and cuddles for them after all. I can see both Cyrande and the Senshi being curious about whether or not Malva exists in this dimension.

Husky/Kenneth: I have a feeling that the fact that in this world, superpowers and magic are so hidden will bother Husky a bit. Still, I have think he will enjoy his stay here, especially if he is willing to allow the Senshi to find out about his Kenneth half. After all, the Senshi are probably fairly close to him in age. (I’ve not been able to figure out exactly how old Kenneth is. Io is 16.) At least, three of the Senshi (Io, Bladestar, and Saturn) are among the smartest people in Japan. Io and Bladestar are both skilled gadgeteers. And none of the Senshi would ostracize someone for being intelligent.

If the Senshi get to meet Kenneth, he will be invited to stay in the dorms with them, (probably in Bladestar’s room). There will be quite a few technical discussions between Mina, Zane, and Kenneth. Kenneth may well get the chance to improve some of Mina’s gadgets and perhaps teach her a bit about "Huskonian” technology. He probably will enjoy the robotic pets that Mina made for her friends last Christmas.

If he stays as Husky, there will once again be the inhuman looking issue. Though, I have a feeling that he will be able to create an image projector quickly enough. Husky would probably insist on getting involved with a few more of the battles between the Senshi and their foes the week he is there and would definitely be a huge help. Either way I think he will have a nice time.

Flesh Gordon: Flesh will probably get a quick feel for the relationships between the Senshi as the Scouts stare in startlement at the naked but attractive man in front of them and their associated Knights (or brothers) either move in front of them or reach over and cover their eyes. The first order of business is going to be getting him dressed, and then taking him to the river to find out what is going on.

After just a short conversation with him, the Senshi are going to quickly start wondering if he came from some sort of B movie universe. And he may well overhear a few quiet speculations that maybe he is the alternate version of Sailor Moon’s Knight. The conversations between Moon and Flesh would be fascinating to say the least, and they will probably either get along very well or hate each other.

As with most of the other human looking adults, the Senshi will pool their allowances and get him a room at a nearby hotel and probably show him around a bit after school. I have a feeling that he will begin to drive Io batty quickly and she will be tempted to assign Moon to permanent, "Keep an eye on Flesh” duty. Though the thought of the two of them roaming through Tokyo unsupervised is just scary.

Style: The conversation by the river between Style and the rest of the Senshi will end up extending long into the night. As was said earlier in the thread, Style would be fascinated by this world. And, if it was mentioned, Io would be interested in his reference to "the dragon” and find herself wondering about whether or not something similar exists in her world. Eventually, as Io realized how tired they were going to be tomorrow at school, she would end the conversation and see about getting Style situated in a nearby hotel.

During the course of the week, I can see frequent visits and conversations between Style and several of the Senshi. Magnus (the team mage) and Sailor Centari (the team mystic and psychic) would both have lots to discuss with him. Io would definitely be interested in exchanging information, willingly trading information about the Mah-ki, Fae, etc. in exchange for useful magic techniques, knowledge about his world, etc. While Io isn’t a mage herself, she would be interested in gaining a bit more knowledge of the occult just so that she can better understand how to help Magnus and Centari. Style may well get asked questions based on things Sailor Io has seen go wrong like, "What is the best way to fix it when someone’s mind gets trapped in the wrong body?” Or, "How do you find someone that accidentally got transferred to the wrong dimension?” Style may well be able to help Sailor Io expand some of her Senshi abilities as well.

During the course of the week, Sailor Io may well end up confiding in him about her fears that she is not strong enough or wise enough to lead the Senshi and that she is terrified that she is going to end up making yet more mistakes. She will probably seek his advice about the very grey issues that she faces.

Talion: Seconds after Talion appears and accidentally helps the Senshi defeat their opponent, a swarm of reporters with TV cameras appear out of nowhere, much to the Senshi’s dismay. In an attempt to minimize the exposure, Sailor Io casts her concealing fog, one of the Senshi grab Talion, and Sailor Io attempts to make it all look like some sort of a publicity stunt by yelling, "Magic Girls the Movie appearing in two months.” Under the cover of the fog, the Senshi quickly head to the river to find out what is going on.

The Senshi are going to feel a great deal of sympathy for Talion when he tells them about his world, and are going to want to help. They will offer to pool their allowances so that he can stay at a nearby hotel, and may try insisting if he refuses. And during the week they will show him around town and give him a chance to just have a bit of a vacation away from the stresses of home. Zane and Mina have never actually worked on making superprison type technology. Its not something they could use in a world where they are hidden from the mundane world. But, they would be more than willing to see what they could come up with in a week. I doubt they could create plans for everything that his world would need, but they might be able to come up with at least a few useful ideas.

As the week comes to an end, they will mention that he is welcome to stay in their world if he wants. (Up to fate to decide if his unluck has followed him there or not. But, still, at least he won’t have She-Cat around. And the Heroes of this world are a good bit more competent than his former teammates. Io hasn’t hit an innocent once with her lightning. And if she has ever accidentally hit a team mate with it I’ve forgotten.) I’m still not sure if I could see him as a Senshi. He’s not a moonite and he’s not the right age. But, the his powers would come in very handy in their fights. Some opponents would definitely think twice about attacking if they get the exact same attack back each time they do so.

Menagerie: Menagerie will probably initially assume that she was in the middle of a battle between two groups of mutants. The Senshi would appear to be energy projectors and most of their foes look near-human. During the course of the conversation, the Senshi will quickly realize that Menagerie has an attitude very similar to most of there most dangerous Mah-ki enemies and will under no circumstances reveal their secret ids to her. She will be informed, "If you attempt to hurt or kill any humans while you are in our world, except in the case of self defense or defense of another, we will treat you just like any other threat.”

The Senshi will still help her disguise her more inhuman features and put her up at a local hotel. They will check in on her frequently and might be willing to show her around Tokyo. There will be at least a few passionate conversations where they attempt to convince her that murdering humans, even if humans are a different and weaker species, is wrong and that violence just leads to a whole never ending spiral of destruction.

I could easily see Menagerie running off and helping the Senshi’s enemies during the week she is in their world.

(I realized I was unfair in assuming that the Senshi would quickly pick up on Menagerie's attitudes. But I think it does make a more interesting read this way and I'm having trouble rewording it.)

Baron Darien: The Senshi will initially have mixed reactions to Baron Darien. While they’ve never face a true vampire, they will have heard enough legends about them to be concerned that he might be an enemy rather than a potential friend. And depending on how much of his history he is willing to share with them, they will realize quickly realize how dangerous of an enemy he could be. After all, he is clearly very used to operating secretly and against mystical enemies and has been very effective in doing so. They will not reveal their secret identities to him and may be wary about how much information they share with him. Though, they will still make sure he has all of the knowledge he needs to understand this world and will do their best to find him a safe place to stay. (A hotel might be risky for someone who can be hurt by sunlight.)

While nervous about him, Sailor Io is still going to be very intrigued by his wisdom, experience, and tactical knowledge. During the course of the week, she will seek him out with an offer to exchange information or technology in return for tutoring from him. I think by the end of the week she will have developed a great deal of respect for him and learned quite a bit. And while she will probably still seem rather inexperienced to his eyes, he may well end up respecting her a bit too.

Audra Blue: The initial encounter with Audra Blue is likely to be a good bit different than most of the others, since she will probably be having a panic attack due to her agoraphobia. Once Io realizes why Audra is reacting the way she is, she will decide to take the risk and have the group immediately transport Audra back to their dorms, while hoping that she’s not making a mistake in doing so. Fortunately, once the Senshi get Audra calmed, the will realize that she’s not an enemy or a threat and will be able to relax.

For simplicity sake, they will continue to hide Audra in their dorm rooms for the week that she is there. The Senshi will try to be good hosts, but they may have a very hard time providing her with the drugs she needs. Hopefully her dependencies are not that hard to obtain or she can go a week without them.

Hotaru/Saturn is the groups computer expert and will probably have a nice time discussing techniques with Audra. Mina might chat with her a bit too, especially in regards to AIs or about technology in general.

Anthem (Blue's): After the conversation by the river, Anthem (I think she is a teenager right?) will be invited to stay in the dorms with the Senshi. Anthem will most likely have a nice vacation where she gets the chance to site see in Tokyo, and just relax. Since her powers are subtle, if Anthem wanted, she probably could patrol the streets at night and deal with the human crimes that the Senshi tend to leave up to the police. As with most of the others, if she wanted to join the Senshi in their battles, they wouldn’t object.

Uncle Slam: As with many of the others, probably a hero fight followed by a discussion by the river and then the Senshi putting him up at a local hotel. I’m not sure there will be a lot of common interests between him and any of the Senshi. Though, if he chose to act as a mentor figure for the week, the Senshi would listen. His time as a soldier would probably enable him to relate to the types of battles the Senshi frequently face, but he might have to make the first move when it comes to advising them. Io is more likely to ask for advice after she’s interacted with someone for a while, and I’m not sure their would be as much interaction here.

Mystic: Very similar to the interactions between the Senshi and Style. The initial conversation by the river would last long into the night with both sides exchanging a wide range of information about both supernatural beings and alternate dimensions. Eventually the Sailor Io would see about getting him settled in a nearby hotel.

During the course of the week, I can see frequent visits and conversations between Mystic and several of the Senshi. Magnus (the team mage) and Sailor Centari (the team mystic and psychic) would both have lots to discuss with him. Io would definitely be interested in exchanging information, willingly trading information about the Mah-ki, Fae, etc. in exchange for useful magic techniques, knowledge about his world, knowledge about the mystical dimensions he has visited, etc. While Io isn’t a mage herself, she would be interested in gaining a bit more knowledge of the occult just so that she can better understand how to help Magnus and Centari. By the end of the week, Sailor Io will probably be comfortable enough with him to privately confide in him about her fears and seek his advice about the very grey issues that she faces.

Dr. Pain: Wrestling is popular in Japan, though to the best of my knowledge, none of the Senshi are wrestling fans. Additionally, I’m not sure I see much in the way of common interests between Dr. Pain and any of the Senshi. The Senshi will of course fill him in on how things work in their world, find out as much as they can about his, see about getting him a room at a nearby hotel, and volunteer to show him around Tokyo. But, I’m not sure I see much more interaction than that. Dr. Pain will probably just have a nice vacation, and get a chance to watch wrestling in a whole different dimension.

The Mask of Justice: Since the Mask of Justice is from WWII era earth, I have a feeling that he just might react badly to finding himself in Japan and might consider it an axis plot. Though, considering the differences between the worlds (and the technology level differences), he will probably quickly come to realize that he is in a different dimension and time rather than just a different country. Still, depending on what was said prior to that, he may end up hearing about Hiroshima from an annoyed knight or scout.

Since after even a short conversation, it will be clear that he is from a different dimension, the Senshi won’t be too worried about damaging the time line by letting him see their world and he may well get the chance to, if he wants, read the history of WWII from the Japanese viewpoint.

Recognizing that the Senshi’s world will probably seem quite different from his own time and place, Io will make a point to visit with him frequently after school and make sure that he is alright.

Flippant: If I remember correctly, Flippant is good with teens (gymnastics instructor?) and probably will get along well with the Senshi during his week there.

As with Warp, Io would be fascinated by the fact that he can travel easily between dimensions and would be quite curious as to whether or not he’s visited any of the dimensions they’ve been to as well as wanting to learn about the dimensions his visited. She may well end up taking very complete notes after their conversations just on the chance that the Scouts end up visiting any of the places he’s already been. She may also attempt see if he can teach her how use her abilities to teleport or move between dimensions. Io is fairly certain that the Senshi were able to do so back in the Mystic ages, and so they should be able to do so know. She just doesn’t know how.

Towards the end of the week, if they have been getting along well, Io may privately seek his advice on the ethical dilemmas she and the Senshi face.

Rock Bottom: As a living statue that can’t change back to normal, Rock Bottom will be one of the most challenging guests for the Senshi to deal with. And unless Mina and Zane can manage to create some sort of holographic image projector or other way to disguise him, he may be stuck in a hotel room for most of his visit. Though if that is the case, the Senshi will make a point to visit him frequently, so that he doesn’t have too miserable of a visit.

None of the Senshi are gay so he won’t have much luck flirting. But, none of them will have any problems with the fact that Rock Bottom is. All in all, they should all get along reasonably well.

Special Agent Trent: I don’t see the Senshi getting along well with Special Agent Trent at all. From what I’ve gathered, he isn’t overly fond of superhumans and I have a feeling that fact will become clear during the initial conversation. Worse, he is an FBI agent. While the Senshi haven’t actually had any direct experience with any government agencies, they don’t want any. They make a point of operating in secrecy and have seen enough X-files type shows to be worried about FBI agents. Additionally, while they never have actually said as much, subconsciously the Senshi probably don’t see human agencies as capable of dealing with supernaturals. They will not allow Special Agent Trent to discover their secret ids and will carefully consider any information they do give him. He will probably find out significantly less about this world from the Senshi than the other visitors. And once they set him up in a hotel room, they will probably avoid him as much as possible.

Stopwatch: I doubt Stopwatch will mention the fact that she is a criminal during the initial discussion by the river, and while the Senshi do have a couple of members that could find out the truth, they don’t use those abilities often or easily. So she will appear to be a fun loving and rather nice girl around their own age with a really interesting power set. The Senshi will end up inviting her to stay in their dorms with them, the pets will attempt to convince her to get them ice cream whenever their respective owners aren’t watching, and the group will take her on trips through Tokyo while she is there. If the Senshi don’t catch her stealing, it will be a very nice vacation, and if she wants, the chance to play superhero for a while.

If the Senshi do catch her stealing something, they are going to be noticeably disappointed in her. They may not deal with human criminals at all, and wouldn’t destroy one of their Mah-ki foes for something as minor as theft. But they do still respect the law, and believe that it should be followed if at all possible.

Since they won’t want to trap her in the wrong dimension for one mistake, they won’t turn her over to the cops. But they will insist that she return it to whoever she took it from and she will end up getting a "stealing is wrong” lecture. The Senshi will keep a closer eye on her after that, though they will still be friendly. Group knows full well that anyone can make a mistake.

Calculus: Calculus would probably love the opportunity to act as a mentor for this large group of super-powered teens. (4 Scouts, 2 Knights, 1 Mage, 1 Other. Ranging in age from Junior in high school through Freshman in college.) And the Senshi would definitely benefit from his wisdom.

So long as Calculus doesn’t come across as patronizing, he and the group should get along well from the start. The Senshi won’t push for any details about his world that he isn’t willing to share, and will of course give him a fairly complete overview of their world immediately.

During the week, Sailor Io especially (but probably some of the others as well) will make the attempt to learn from him. Io would be thrilled to get advice about tactics. Her team relies on her to make almost all the decisions and, while she does her best, she’s always afraid that she’s going to make a mistake that costs them badly. If Calculus is a gadgeteer (can’t remember right off hand), she and Zane will probably try getting his help and feedback on a few items they’ve been trying to build. Once trust is built, she will definitely seek his advice on the ethical issues as well. I have a feeling the Senshi would benefit a great deal from his wisdom while he was there.

Eve: The Senshi would find Eve incredibly cute and would definitely want to protect and entertain her during her visit. I’m not sure how readily she can pass for human, but in either case she would end up spending the week staying in Mina and Mitzy’s dorm room with them. The pets would adore her. Even the dragonrabbit might be willing to play with her. And Jade and Seb would constantly be competing for cuddles and treats. Also, Mina made robotic pets for all of her friends for Christmas. While the AI’s are very simple, Eve probably would enjoy interacting with them.

If she looks human, the Senshi will definitely take her to all sorts of fun kid places in Tokyo. There will be at least one day at the arcade or amusement park. If not, there will still be plenty of fun and games to be had in the dorm room. Eve will NOT be allowed to go on any of the Senshi’s missions though. She’ll get left home with the pets.

While Zane, Mina, and Hotaru would probably be curious about how she is made and her AI, I doubt they would push her for details or anything. She’ll be treated as the child she seems to be rather than as a robot.

Pinnacle: After the initial encounter and the discussion by the river, I see Pinnacle not having any real difficulty getting along with the Senshi. Since I think she is an adult, they will put her up at a local hotel and show her around Tokyo as time permits.

Most of the Senshi are fairly new to having their powers as well. We’ve only been actively working as a team for about a semester, so we can understand the insecurities of being a new hero and probably some of the challenges she faces. We may well end up exchanging stories and ideas. Along with trying to exchange advice and solutions to the problems each group is facing.

Superbadger: Considering that Superbadger is a former criminal and seems to be at least somewhat ruthless, he might not object as much as some of the others to the Senshi’s methods. However, I don’t see him having a great deal of desire to spend time with a group of teenagers, or anyone really. The Senshi will be willing to respect that fact. Most likely once they provide him with the information he will need for the week and see about getting him set up, they will follow his wishes and leave him to his own devices. Though they will check in on rare occasions to make sure that there aren’t any problems.

Air Raider: Air Raider, of course, won’t object when the Senshi end the fight by destroying their enemy. Though during their initial discussion with him, the Senshi will quickly find themselves disturbed by his attitude and tactics, especially if he mentions that he even kills petty human criminals after he’s caught them breaking the law three times. The Senshi will provide him with a rundown on the world and if necessary provide him funds to stay at a nearby hotel.

They will firmly request that he moderate his approach during the visit, and not kill anyone unless it is in the defense of a life. They may attempted to encourage him to allow the police to handle the human level criminals. Though I doubt he’s going to listen to a group of kids. I think they are going to be uncomfortable with this situation. He’s a normal human and will be dealing with normal humans, that’s something they generally don’t interfere with. Also, he’s right on the borderline between villain and hero. Making it a bit harder to say, "If we catch you killing someone, we will treat you like any other threat.”

Ultimately, I think they are mostly going to avoid him or just keep a subtle eye on him. And if they see him going too far, give the police an anonymous tip. (However, if he has real powers instead of just weapons and gear, they won’t involve the police and will find a way to deal with it themselves. Probably by freezing him in place for a while and subjecting him to a nice long lecture. And if that doesn’t work, using more forceful methods.”)

Hardware: Hardware will most likely have a very pleasant and productive stay with the Senshi. As the father of a teenager, he will have experienced relating to teenagers in general. Additionally, Mina and Zane will both be very intrigued to discover that he is an gadgeteer.

During the week they will probably exchange ideas and notes on quite a few projects. And Mina will enjoy the chance to show off some of the items she’s most proud of to someone that actually works for a high tech company. She is very gifted and has a natural talent for mechanics and electronics. Hardware may well wish he could recruit her for the company where he works. Once Mina has grown comfortable with him, she may well seek his advice on some of the issues she’s dealing with.

Re: WWYCD #122 (or so): Strange Visitor

Tao would be extremely interested in Style. She has an innate curiosity about magic stemming for her origin. She likely has some latent magical potential and would mine him for information (politely) and possible knowledge on how to dead her nemnsis, the Blood Red King (a seemingly invincible incarnation of Evil with power bordering on cosmic).

Eve would be intrigued by Microman 2. He's the first "boy robot" she's met and he's a grown up as well. She'd probably develop quite a school girl crush on the android, hang around him and generally get all flustered in his presence.

Re: WWYCD #122 (or so): Strange Visitor

re: Starguard's CvK -- it depends on what you're whacking.

If it's demons you're killing, not humans, well, Helene's got a "Holy SMITE!" mode that's worried even Horus-Re.

In the case of Sailor Io, its actually "neither of the above."

The primary villains are the Mah-ki. And at first, we reacted to them much as Sailor Moon did to the yoma in her universe. Namely-destroy. We have since discovered that the Mah-ki were former members of the Moon Kingdom and were on the losing side of a civil war. They were banished to a realm that was meant to be a sanctuary. Instead, somehow it was turned into a barren and lifeless place that twisted them. Some of them were stealing energy because they could make their home better for a while. And others so they could escape and return to earth. Some want revenge on both the senshi and on humanity. Others are fundamentally decent.

The Civil war was about Earth. From the legendary through the Middle Ages, the Mah-ki had chosen to live there and had lives for themselves. But problems started developing as humanity grew jealous of the power of the supernatural groups and started gaining more knowlege than was safe.

The Queen insisted that the Mah-ki return home after humanity managed set off Mt. Vesuvius as part of a ritual to impress the Mah-ki. The Mah-ki were unwilling to leave their families and lives and were branded as traitors.

Ultimately, the Inquisition came and humans began killing the Mah-ki and members of the other supernatural groups. While the Mah-ki were more powerful, humanity had greater numbers. Ultimately, the Mah-ki asked to return to the Moon with their families. But they were not allowed. Humans couldn't surive on the Moon, a fact the Mah-ki were unwilling to accept or believe.

The Mah-ki and memebers of the other supernatural groups went to war against humanity. The Senshi, designated by the King and Queen as Mankinds protectors, fought to defend the humans. The war ended in massive deaths. The Senshi and most of the Moon Kingdom Moonites were killed, though the King and Queen found a way to ensure they would reincarnate in the future.

The Mah-ki were supposed to be banished to a pleasant sanctuary realm where they would be safe from the humans and humans would be safe from them. But something went wrong and the sanctuary realm the Mah-ki were banished to instead was a horrific prison.

The Mah-ki are escaping/have escaped from it now and many of them are seaking revenge both against humanity and the Senshi. Its still extremely personal to the Mah-ki since most of them actually lived through all of these events. Apparently Moonites are nearly immortal (the don't age kind not the can't be killed kind).

There are a wide range of other groups that we have met, fought against, or know of. This includes the Fae (both Selee and Unselee), legendary animals, a mirror realm where people are opposite of those in the campaign world, a group of potent spirits, and probably some others I'm just not remembering at the moment.

We have not yet met a true demon. Though, I have a very strong feeling that there is a truly evil and dark force that is stealing the energy from all of the realms and that was responsible for ruining the Mak-ki's realm. I just have no clue what or where it is yet.

I admit, its a very grey world and quite a bit different from a standard superhero game. We enjoy it though.

Re: WWYCD #122 (or so): Strange Visitor

Talion: Seconds after Talion appears and accidentally helps the Senshi defeat their opponent, a swarm of reporters with TV cameras appear out of nowhere, much to the Senshi’s dismay. In an attempt to minimize the exposure, Sailor Io casts her concealing fog, one of the Senshi grab Talion, and Sailor Io attempts to make it all look like some sort of a publicity stunt by yelling, “Magic Girls the Movie appearing in two months.†Under the cover of the fog, the Senshi quickly head to the river to find out what is going on. Once they realize the nature of Talion’s curse and how dangerous it is to spend time around him, they give him a rundown on the world, provide him with what funds they can to support himself for the week, and then end up staying well away from him.

Well, as Death on two legs, Talion isn't going to bug the Senshi about killing their enemies. And he'll refuse the money, as he's pretty good at living on the street. (He doesn't actually *need* to eat, and it's not as though street thugs could kill him. Permanently, anyway.) Concealment isn't really much of a problem either--in the "hidden magic" world, no one's going to believe what they see of his powers. Say goodbye to some street crime, though.

Menagerie would be fairly stymied by this world. Part of her would be bored by it seemingly oppressive and dull standards of behavior' date=' though the technological development is impressive. [/quote']

Well, by most definitions, the psionically gifted people would be considered "mutants", yes. Menagerie might find it hopeful that they've managed to move beyond warfare with the baselines.

Pinnacle would find it pretty cool' date=' kind of like the future shown in Demolition Man. [/quote']

Oh, there's a catch all right. It's just not one that's easily exposed by anyone randomly stumbling on it.

Stopwatch would be going out of her mind with boredom after about' date=' oh, a day. No night life? No fast cars? No sex? AGH! Her naturally impish nature would drive her to commit some kind of mischeif (being able to stop time makes her good at it) hopefully not enough to get mind wiped.[/quote']

Well, she'd probably enjoy gravboarding (skateboards with antigravity technology), which is popular among the local teens, and allows some pretty impressive stunts even without breaking the safety rules. And being teens, some pushing of the rules can be expected to occur....

Re: WWYCD #122 (or so): Strange Visitor

Warp: Since Warp seems fairly charismatic and as like a nice guy, during the course of the initial conversation the Senshi will probably end up relaxing and revealing who they really are.

Mina and some of the others will probably check in with him after school each day, and show him around Tokyo. Mina will be intrigued by the fact that he is able to travel between dimensions and teleport and may try seeing if he’s been to any of the realms they’ve visited (Arcadeia—land of the Fae, The Mirrorverse, the North Pole—yes the one with Santa, etc). Since Senshi powers can be somewhat flexible, she may try seeing if she can learn from him how to teleport or travel between dimensions on her own. The fact that only one of the current Senshi can do that has proven problematic at times.

As far as Warp's extradimensional experience goes, he's only been to a two magical realms in the Microverse, one of which was ruled by the Necromancer Vashtos who was trying to invade the other, and the Heavenly Realm of Horus-Re's father.

Warp has just now begun to tap the extradimensional aspects of his power, and can't get just anywhere.

(4u) Slot K - Opening: Extra-Dimensional Movement (20 points), Any Location In Any Dimension Previously Connected To One Currently Present In

(Related Group; +10 points), x2 Mass (+5 points), Area of Effect (One Hex;

+1/2), Useable On Others Simultaneously (+1/2), Continuous (+1), Gate (-1/2), Only In Vicinity Of Where A Gate Is Or Was Present (-1), Requires

Skill Roll with Penalty of -1 Every 20 Active Points (-1/4)

(6u) Slot L - Closing: 15d6 Dispel Gate, Any Type of Gate (+1/4), Cumulative (+1/2), Requires Skill Roll with Penalty of -1 Every 20 Active Points (-1/4)

Basically, he wouldn't know how to get to Arcadia, the North Pole, or the Mirrorverse on his own, but if he was at the location where someone had once opened a gate to or from that place he could reopen it. Conversely, if he was around an open gate he could close it.

Towards the end of the week, Io might privately seek his advice on some of the ethical dilemmas she has been facing. She has to be strong for her friends and so much of the time they just go with what she decides. Getting an unbiased opinion from someone she’s come to respect would be helpful.

Warp's advice would be that while you should try to avoid harsh measures when possible, if those are the only ones left to protect innocent lives then one has no choice but to resort to them. You shouldn't feel guilty doing what's necessary to protect people, as long as you are certain that it is necessary.

And that those who'd try to delibeartely harm innocents deserve whatever they get.

Re: WWYCD #122 (or so): Strange Visitor

Heh, Cyrande is quite capable of disguising herself, actually. She just rarely sees a need to. And while she is/acts somewhat arrogant, she's likely to see a vacation somewhere else as a chance to let her hair down, especially if Starguard has been working on her. After all, she's just an eighteen year old girl (Admittedly, one that's killed several people, has seen enough stuff to make an angel jaded, and was raised from birth under the notion she has to rule, serve and represent a group of people that look like In Nomine demons....)

Assuming that the hole takes place on Malva and the New Sentinels are there(Cyrande probably has them confined, though. In a polite way. "No, you can't kill half the people here, I'm sworn to protect them. And don't you dare give me the puppy eyes, Starguard.")

Flesh Gordon- Actually, I can imagine Flesh being very popular on Malva. Cyrande would just watch to make sure he doesn't get hurt and let him go home when the time ends.

Husky/Kenneth- Husky gets picked up for the arena by her father, she does her best to try and make sure Kenneth is ok and has access to what he needs, sneaking him out when he can leave. Husky probably enjoys it, and she'd try and distract Kenneth with the shiny toys.

Eve- Would actually be one of the people better off. AIs have full legal rights as Malvan citizens, and Cyrande would be more then happy to introduce her to the other AIs, maybe even offering an upgrade, though she might be heard to mutter about humanitiy's wierd desire to build humaniod AIs...

Menagerie Oh. Exactly the kind of person Cyrande loathes. She'd probably just step back and let her father decide, not shielding her at all. What happens after that... Let's just say it's likely to be dark.

Ah, I'd been picturing her as older. Actually, I'm starting to think that she and the rest of the Senshi might get along quite well once they actually get to know each other. And once they start to trust her, she might well get invited later in the week to stay in the dorms with them and just get a nice chance to relax, see the sites, and eat pizza and ice cream. (Don't worry, none of us do the puppy eyes.)

Still especially since she's 18, I see all the girls being just a bit worried about her trying to steal one of their boyfriends. Not that we don't trust our knights, but exotic, gorgeous, slightly older females are always a bit threatening.

Well, her true age is going to be a surprise to most of the Sentinels, actually. She tends to come across as much older, though a lot of that is trying to have protective camoflauge. Heh, and Cyrande actually wouldn't even be tempted to "steal their boyfriends". Though those sort of relationships would be very foreign to her, she's very good at picking up when to stay out of something. Actually, as long as your group tries not to invade her mind, she'll be a very polite guest. Maybe wondering why she should be wary of Oden...

Re: WWYCD #122 (or so): Strange Visitor

Talion

Talion's world is rather Iron Age, as you might have guessed from his habit of killing people. The rest of his team is only less lethal by a combination of more flexible powers and incompetence. Other team members include: A Batman obsessed character who dresses and talks exactly like the Michael Keaton version of Batman, drives a Batmobile and has Batgadgets in his utility belt, but no fighting or detective skills, relying on his elemental transmutation powers; the weather-controlling leader who looks good on camera and is excellent at schmoozing but horribly inept in combat (more likely to hit an ally or innocent than an opponent, *if* he can get his powers to work at all); the White Wolf-style shamanic werewolf who poses as a mutant (there's anti-mutant prejudice, but the anti-mystic prejudice is even worse); and...She-Cat.

To describe She-Cat...take a furry porn version of Marvel's Tigra. Have her played by a munchkin who must be involved in every single scene and plotline, regardless of the laws of physics or causality, and a gift for honking off authority figures. Also, she has horrible taste in sexual partners, preferring sleazeballs, criminals and players. Oh, and she used to be a man.

Like Sailor Io's world, some visitors will start by fighting the locals over killing their enemies. Sadly, one of the things this world is short on is Tony Stark types, and thus prisons that can safely contain superbeings. Talion's team does accept surrender when it's offered, but most of their opponents are casual killers at best, and more often psychopaths. Talion will do his best to keep any CvK types alive in this fight; he'd rather be in a Silver Age world himself, despite the nature of his powers.

Presuming the visitor doesn't leave in disgust, Talion will be dragooned into putting them up at his place. (Yes, even underage girls. The team may never listen to him on tactics or morality, but they trust him absolutely on statutory rape.) It's an efficiency in the bad part of town, but it's home.

Talion would be thrilled by the presence of any competent hero, particularly if he or she is also powerful. Inventor types will be begged for information on building superprisons, making lethal tactics less necessary. If the visitor is particularly powerful, Talion may ask about putting away one or more of the world's megavillains.

"Batman" will fanboy any dark knight detective types. The werewolf would be interested in trading esoteric knowledge with other magical characters. Some well-meaning visitors might try to help the weather controller out with leadership advice, but he won't listen.

Wanderer's character, Nova, might attempt to harangue the local team about being more proactive about using their powers to make the world a better place. Being highly intelligent, he'll soon realize they're not anyone who should be running a small city, let alone the world.

Flesh Gordon would probably enjoy She-Cat's attentions at first, depending on how he feels about "I used to be a man." Cannis, Menagerie, Sludge and other less-than-heroic types would also come in for very unsubtle comeons. Conversely, uptight authority types will get She-Cat's patented insolence.

Cannis would probably also be approached by the werewolf, "She likes canines, but isn't a were herself." (Important to White Wolf game based weres.)

If an adult female visitor actually found herself attracted to Talion (miracles happen), he'd be very willing to reciprocate in tiny baby steps. He's gotten burned a lot. And if they appear to be hitting it off, bad things will start happening, starting with She-Cat inviting herself along on a date.

Many visitors will doubtless be thrilled to leave at the end of the week.
