Corven_Ren
I am building a character who uses trick boomerangs one of these is going to be a Shock-A-rang. a NND EB. But what would be the appropriate defense.

Tech
Re: Electrical NND Being Insulated' date=' non conductive, ED Forcefeild, any Resistant ED, stuff like that seems to make sense.[/quote'] I don't know if I'd use Resistant ED for a def to a NND electric attack. At least, I've never used it as a defense for a NND. A No Normal Defense means that the defense shouldn't be normal and let's face it, a lot of villains/heroes have resistant ED's. I generally use Forcefield, Non conducting/insulated or Innate Electrical powers as the defense on my side.
nexus
Re: Electrical NND I was just listing off some of the defenses I've seen listed for Taser like sfx. Yeah, it would be a very common defense in anything but an extremely four color game (or a very realistic game). I wouldn't count Combat Luck as Resistant ED as a gm call in this case though. But you are right. I've always thought NND and AVLD should be on a sliding scale according to how common the defense is, but that's a rant for another thread. TheEmerged
Re: Electrical NND Yeah, mere "resistant ED" is too common. I could possibly see this as "Natural resistant ED" (as opposed to Armor) and even that is really too common. Perhaps "Hardened ED" would be a better standard... Dust Raven
Re: Electrical NND For a boomarang, I'd probably use a PD Force Field, even though it's electrical. The idea is that a PD FF would keep the weapon from having contact with the character, so a Telekinetic character could be seen as deflecting it. pinecone
Re: Electrical NND I'd add in "Electro-powers" as well...ohhh and "no (or alien) nervious system" as items for the List o'defenses....
