SCUBA Hero
Re: So...About Seeker... Since the Song Spoof thread is buried deep, and it seems appropriate to the topic: ************************************ (To the tune of JoDee Messina’s ‘Bye-Bye’) Bye-Bye Seeker Boy it sure looked rough KO’d on all the covers Sinkin’ in the muck You could have used a little Fifth Edition Combat Luck All you needed was a little time Just a little more time For a new write-up, but Steve’s mind’s made up Bye-bye, Seeker, don’t you curse There’s a reboot on the Champions Universe And a bunch of heroes torn out And they ain’t never comin’ back And that’s a fact I tried all I can imagine I argued and pleaded in true fanboy fashion Steve said ‘No dice, the ninja’s gotta take a hike’ Bye-bye, bye-bye Seeker bye-bye Don’t think that silly grin is gonna keep you in Like it done before You better sell that sword Swing from the chandelier And land out the door I don’t know what you’re expected to do Keep on searchin’ for the truth Maybe find the final answer Then become a dancer Bye-bye, Seeker, don’t you curse There’s a reboot on the Champions Universe And a bunch of heroes torn out And they are really truly gone Just like you, Don There are others like Professor Muerte He sank down in the ocean sayin’ ‘Que mala suerte’ Steve said ‘No dice, junior D has gotta take a hike’ Bye-bye, bye-bye Seeker bye-bye Out of the game I guess Couldn’t pass the test And I think it’s sad But it’s Ironclad Bye-bye, Seeker, don’t you curse There’s a reboot on the Champions Universe And a bunch of heroes torn out And they ain’t never comin’ back And you can count on that I tried, oh, I tried Mr. Morgan Said I’d write a source book Or donate an organ Steve said ‘No dice, the ninja’s gotta take a hike’ Bye-bye, bye-bye, my Seeker bye-bye Bye-bye, Seeker, don’t you curse There’s a reboot on the Champions Universe And a bunch of heroes torn out And they ain’t never comin’ back And that’s a fact I tried all I can imagine Said ‘Don’t turn your back on Watchers of the Dragon’ Steve said ‘No dice, the ninja’s gotta take a hike’ Bye-bye, bye-bye Seeker bye -bye Bye-bye, bye-bye my Seeker bye-bye. HewhoisMatt
Re: So...About Seeker... I am one of the few people who liked Seeker more than the Dark Duck cause I had never heard of a back ground any where near like his, it was fun to see him getting pounded on the book covers, and the Duck was just such a over the top BatMan rip off. Supernaut
Re: So...About Seeker... Hi, I'm new, and I don't own any HERO books newer than 4th edition (well, the Lucha Libre book and the PULP main book since it's awesome), so maybe that's why I think Seeker is cool. Australian trained by WW2 Ninja in the Outback, that's a comic book character.

assault
Re: So...About Seeker... It depends what you think WW2 Japanese commandoes would be like. If they were ninja, then ninjitsu. If they were "just" commandoes, karate, and or jiu-jitsu. Ninjitsu works for me. Of course, my campaign also includes the elite Australian operatives that opposed them... Checkmate
Re: So...About Seeker... I could totally buy a Japanese commando knowing Ninjitsu, the problem I had was that Seeker didn't appear to know anything about being a Ninja. Change that to Karate and I actually liked the character.
assault
Re: So...About Seeker... the problem I had was that Seeker didn't appear to know anything about being a Ninja. He should have had Disguise. Other than that, though, he pretty much had the skills down. That he didn't dress and behave like an angsty kabuki stage hand was a positive for me. A ninja should at all times behave as though they were not a ninja. The disguise thing could be explained away, but such explanations are simultaneously unnecessary and cheesy. It is a weakness though. As of course is the lack of resistant defences.
