ghost-angel
Re: WF: Ninja Weapons? You have two that would cover it: WF: Common Martial Arts Weapons (which may be purchased as a group) WF: Uncommon Martial Arts Weapons (each of which must be purchased seperately) 5ER pg76 Alternately you and the GM can work out a WF: Common Ninja Weapons group to use. ghost-angel
Re: WF: Ninja Weapons? Oh and the Ultimate Martial Artists and/or Ninja HERO may have more to say on the subject but I don't own them and therefore can't comment on their content. But there is a WF: Ninja Weapons on page 76 in 5ed revised under Common Martial Arts Weapons. I was wondering what that 1 point WF included
Michael Hopcroft
Re: WF: Ninja Weapons? A cinematic Ninja's WF group would include the katana, shuriken, and smoke bombs. A more realistic one would be using the ninja-to (a blade that is easier to manufacture and conceal, much cheaper, and has a hollow handle in which small objects can be concealed) instead of the much more expensive katana (ownership of which was restricted to the bushi caste anyway). And many historical ninja would not have combat training, particularly in weapons (chambara films aside, the typical ninja was no match in hand-to-hand combat for a trained soldier, and was of a social class where being caught with any sort of armament meant immediate execution or worse.) Thia Halmades
Re: WF: Ninja Weapons? Jo staff (the 4 footer) may be a Karate weapon as well, although not by the book, as I don't have muh copy yet. But I remember it being a topic of dicsussion back in the day-day. And, what about Jutte?
Edsel
Re: WF: Ninja Weapons? In the UMA the notes for the Sai mentions that this weapon's stats are also used for the jutte and nunte weapons. So, based on that, I imagine that the jutte can be considered a Karate Weapon.
