TheRavenIs
For what ever reason, the game city, state, nation, and world outlaws your Team. They have information of a 'crime'/'action' that when seen makes your Team, look criminal. The worse thing is that your Fav C is one that is seen as the one responsible. The Team is painted by the same brush as the C for the reason that they didn't turn your C over to the authorities. Now WWYCD?
GoldenAge
Re: WWYCD: Your Fav C and Team, are outlawed Um... Assuming I'm innocent... Thank them for trusting me. Then we'd probably go undercover to prove my innocence. Should take about 3 hours. This stuff happens all of the time.
jkwleisemann
Re: WWYCD: Your Fav C and Team, are outlawed Again, working under the assumption of innocence: Void: Has been preparing for this for some time, actually. Renegade government groups trying to take you out teach you to be ready for The Man to come a knockin' at the door. His assets would be frozen, no doubt, but he already has enough assets to last for a while stowed away. He'd move to one of his safehouses, and set about preparing to infiltrate Department M and find the evidence to prove that they set him up, and what they're up to behind the scenes. Outsider: Is Wilbur Whateley with a sense of ethics. He's busy desperately trying to avoid his legal guardian, who's ready and willing to put a slug between his eyes to keep his father's influence from taking him over, and probably looking at the fact that the only way he can prove his innocence is by driving hundreds of people insane by revealing his true form and pointing out that not everybody who watched the video footage of the crime promptly started setting their houses on fire in nihilistic glory. So kind of a lose-lose situation there.... Sparky: Really, he's got it easiest. His owner pays a fine for owning a mischievous animal, or he 'escapes' until somebody can demonstrate that it's a setup, dodging the Animal Control officers until then. Seanaci
Re: WWYCD: Your Fav C and Team, are outlawed I'd take it like the woman I am and prove that I'm innocent. In all seriousness, I'd hope there would be a way to prove me innocent (most likely framed), as I really like my Char and would hate to see her thrown in jail or whatever for a crime she didn't commit. Blue
Re: WWYCD: Your Fav C and Team, are outlawed Audra Blue would continue hacking, but in secrecy somewhere. Nobody's gonna track her down. She'd take it personally and perhaps be slightly less noble. Anthem would continue to perform her good deeds in wherever needed, until ultimately she was caught and jailed. Unlce Slam would go into isolation. Outlawing an iconic symbol would not go over well with the public. They'd make a bigger outcry than he ever could. This would trouble him..and cramp the AKA Heroes team style. the A-Frame would have to be locked up, the amazing mans buisness would be under pressure. Well, the team does have a mentalist, and presumably someone has the 'incriminating' information. In the meantime, the rest of the team does a more conventional investigation. Blaze gets vaguely annoyed, the continues on with buisness as usual. He might call his 'friends' at the CIA to see what they can do about it. Schaister..well, duh. He's a con artist. It's probably a legitinate complain--unless its something violent or really mean.

If the authorities won't accept that, his organization will help them hide and either become "underground" heroes or just retire for a while. It could help to have their goodwill in the future. David Johnston
Re: WWYCD: Your Fav C and Team, are outlawed Wizard would call an attorney, arrange for a negotiated surrender to the Crown Prosecutor, hopefully get bail, and investigate just what was really going on. If he couldn't get bail, then he'd have his lawyer insist that he be held in isolation to protect him, and smuggle in components for a set of VR electrodes and remotely operate Tnn Man to investigate with the team. Since the public and the authorities don't know that Tin Man normally has no pilot but rather is operated by an onboard nonsentient computer or by remote control, that shouldn't arouse too much suspicion. Kevin Schultz
Re: WWYCD: Your Fav C and Team, are outlawed Jake the Troll is a minor, and is currently attending a school for uber-humans. As this is a 'classic' example of something that will probably happen to him later on in life, he'd consult with his instructors, and ask them how THEY handle stuff like this. He'd also talk to his parents, and ask them what he should do. However, worst comes to worst? He goes to juvie for a year or two, and then his record gets sealed. Shinji Miromoto is currently on the lam, and is probably guilty of whatever it is that he's being accused of; the rest of the team probably helped him do it. However, assuming that he needs to prove his innocence, he'd point out that, like others in this list, the victims of his 'crime' haven't gone insane due to the Dark Taint, and thus he couldn't possibly have done it. If that didn't work, he'd probably get assistance from the Dark Congress (a contracting agency for east asian supervillians, specializing in providing Loyal Lieutanants and administrative facilities; Shinji is an Associate Member in absentia) about getting some legal help. input.jack
Re: WWYCD: Your Fav C and Team, are outlawed Revenant "escapes" from the rest of the Sentinels on live TV, clearing them of "complicity" charges. Since Revenant is reknonwed for his ability to escape from almost anyone, this would not necessarily make his teammates look bad. He would count on American Eagle to be the face-man for the group, smoothing over their situation with the authorities, while he and Crimson Avenger did some detective work to try to find out whats really going on. Crimson Avenger isnt as skilled a detective as Revenant, but since his body is made of solid light, he can disguise himself as -anyone-. Which can be useful. Eventually Revenant would find out who was responsible and bring him down. Black Hawk would most likely try to go "underground" with her group, to figure out whats happening and who is behind it. They arent as well connected as the Sentinels, so this would be alot harder, although Black Hawk's teammate, Goldenstar, is American Eagle's daughter, and her boyfriend, Requiem, is Revenant's old apprentice. As in the previous example, there would be a montage of investigation, clue tracking, and informant prodding, until the real culptri was revealed. Then comes the big can of whoop-@$$
Drhoz
Re: WWYCD: Your Fav C and Team, are outlawed Quite likely, in fact. Vitus D'rhazz comes from a bronze-age world with suitably 'primitive' ethics. He was in the middle of a long argument about the wisdom of cutting Gravitar's throat whilst we had her unconcious at one point. This did NOT go down well with his teammates or UNITY, but fortunately Vitus was distracted by the arrival of the press, before he could press his point. So, if for example film comes to light of Vitus beat the snot out of some neighbourhood drug dealer, and dropping him off a bridge comes to light, two things will likely happen 1) Vitus will likely enjoy the peace and quiet of Hot Sleep or mere prison (he is a desperately unhappy soul, with good reason) 2) his teammates would have to prove he couldn't possibly have done it, when it would be very likely to them that he did. (They watch him very careful after battles, in case of "My knife slipped. Into his throat" incidents).
Thia Halmades
Re: WWYCD: Your Fav C and Team, are outlawed Thia is expecting this. He knows the state is corrupt and his clock is ticking. However, he has no concerns whatsoever about being a 'proven criminal.' So long as he retains his Paladin Hood, no Barrister of the Temple is going to be able to prove a damn thing. They'll trump up a charge to lock him up and hold him there while they "obtain evidence" and "question witnesses." But any truly severe evil action would force Thia to Fall - and that isn't a problem he has. Everyone else already knows they're wanted by the government. And they're okay with that - that's what happens when your higher purpose and the government's corrupt officials are at odds.
