Dust Raven
Re: Super Metals Rhinolithium - It'snot what you think it is. I'm picturing a great white horny battery. That's not it then?
Kenn
Re: Super Metals A rhinolith is a kind of dried material that comes out of one's nose. "Rhinolithium" may sound like a super metal, but it's snot.

input.jack
Re: Super Metals So tell me, what are the properties of Flex-steel? Grimble Flex-steel (or Nysteel, as my notes revealed) is as strong as steel at resisting penetration of being cut, but has just a hint of elastic "give" to it, allowing a suit of mail to be worn without impairing the wearer's movements, or being as binding and restrictive. (In game terms, it has no DCV penalty)

It's being heralded as a shape memory alloy that can bend and flex and do all that other incredible super-alloy stuff.

Blue Jogger
Re: Super Metals We haven't played much with super metals, but we do have super materials. Plazsteel While the original Plasteel was incredible expensive, mildly radioactive, and the darling super metal of powered armor heroes and foes, a little known overseas company came up with Plazsteel. It's most amazing property is that it is just a little bit better than standard Kevlar, surprisingly comfortable (although its obvious that it is body armor and not spandex) and surprisingly affordable (well, compared to Plasteel). However, it does have a reputation of being "Plasteel ripoff". Rumors that this is a by-product of a failed Japanese Mecha Company have not been replaced with who exactly did build Plazsteel and why it was so cheap. Organic Crystal Used by extra-dimensional demons to entrap their victims (or build lairs), they excrete this fluid (from their hands) which hardens into a diamondoid structure, it is not as strong as diamond, in fact, its about as strong as concrete and seems to have much in common with spider silk. Silbeg
Re: Super Metals Brianium - the toughest substance on Earth - named after a former GM. This stuff is so unbelievably tough.. it has to be at least 5DEF stronger than the max damage anyone's biggest attack can generate. However, it is rumored that it can be affected by "Generic Energy Blasters".
