Hugh Neilson
Re: Chess Grandmaster - KS, PS, or something else? All I can think of ... and it's a pretty low-powered item ... is that' date=' due to the nature of international chess competition, he'd "automatically" have a valid visa for countries in which chess tournaments were played. Sounds pretty lame, but (for example) in a game set during the Cold War he'd already have his "papers in order" for routine travelling internationally across the Iron Curtain. But that's a stretch, and few games bother with that level of bureaucratic hassle.[/quote'] Well, an international passport is also a perk, and has the same effect for more countries. What does it cost?

Just goes to show that even mundane Perks can be differently useful from campaign to campaign and therefore might be worth different points as well. Kenn
Re: Chess Grandmaster - KS, PS, or something else? Of course' date=' being a true master of chess does qualify you to at least be a prominent henchman - which can come in handy... scroll down to Kronsteen if you don't twig on the reference right away... Until you piss off your boss by claiming the plans problems were all in the execution and not at all in the planning....

And you joined these boards a month before me as well, I am in all things, apparently grossly deficient.
