Vondy
Has anyone come up with an easy way to model photographic reflexes. The best example I can think of is Taskmaster from the comics. However, more realistically, the character might have to have a clear view, or view the thing from many angles. Anyways, has anyone built this? Vondy
Re: photographic reflexes How about these suggestions: http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60470 I just found the thread you linked to and was going to post back with "never mind." Thanks. I'm going to go with Analyze Dexterity Skills, Improved Cramming, and Improved Martial Cramming. We can just note what the character has "crammed" and have them buy the skills later if they want to use them regularly.
Sidume
Re: photographic reflexes Another option (other than the ones listed in the previous thread) is to buy it like this: Eidetic Memory (-x, only applies to physical skills observed, linked to skill levels) 8 Overall Skill Levels (-x, physical skills only; +x, Custom Advantage - can be used for base cost of skill) 2d6 Luck (-x, only to prevent botches on physical skill rolls) GM to determine the costs of "x." For a basic Dex Skill, this give the character a base-dex roll, + 5. Ordinarily, this should be sufficient. If this is a High powered Supers game, you could increase the # of skill levels. Killer Shrike
Re: photographic reflexes The USPD covered it in the special powers in the back. IIRC it was basically a skill VPP with a big dissertation on its 'terms of use' so to speak.
Wyrm Ouroboros
Re: photographic reflexes Just the way I'd do it. Alternately, buy all the Dex skills, then purchase all martial arts. As well, you might purchase Shapeshift, limited to 'motion imitation' or such. I mean, photographic reflexes is a fairly notable power... Sean Waters
Re: photographic reflexes First thing you need to do is define what you mean by 'photographic reflexes' If you mean that anything you've seen done you can do yourself whenever you like, that's not anything but knowing all the skills in the book with a limitation 'can not use until seen in use' which, certainly after 3 or 4 gaming sessions, is going to be worth -0. Or maybe you ought to just not spend 50 of your character points and agree with the GM you can use them to 'instantly learn' any skill you see?
