Christopher
Re: German for Fearless? I once made a Neverwinter Nights Character simply named "Tod" (Death). A female Weapon Master (Scythe). WhenI would have used her as an NPC in a real D&D game I would have giver her a mask that creates the illusion of her wearing a black Robe, being a skelleton (with the Scythe staying normal) and a mor fitting voice. Maybe add some boots of flying or a summonable horse to make her immune to falling. And suddenly I think about rebulding her in HERO as a 400-pt Super. Enforcer84
Re: German for Fearless? Baron Terror? Baron Schreck oder Baron Furcht, Baron von Angst (Furcht is scared in German) For the Henchmen : Haesslich means ugly, Monster equals in German to Ungeheuer. Fog is of course Nebel as for the Insect: Spinne, Insekt, Krabbeltier I'm totally liking Ungeheuer. That might be a winner. Nebel too. Enforcer84
Re: German for Fearless? How about "Die Schrecke"? It's short (but scientifically not quite correct) for "Die Heuschrecke" which means "the locust". In addition it contains the German word "Schreck" = shock, terror, alarm. Regarding "Fräulein Furchtlos" you should probably know that the word "Fräulein" (formal address for unmarried women) is hardly being used since the 70s. Noted, Fraulein will be dropped and Die Heurschrecke might be perfect.
Enforcer84
Re: German for Fearless? I asked a Thesaurus for those and hope they help: About Courage (Mut): Bravour · Bravur · Courage (the French; means the same as in english) · Edelmut (heroic courage) · Kühnheit (willing to take risks) · Mannhaftigkeit · Mumm · Mut · Standhaftigkeit (being steadfast) · Tapferkeit · Traute (never heard of it) Beherztheit · Eifer · Feuer ("having fire") · Mut · Wagemut (willing to take risks) Kühnheit · Mut · Schneid · Verwegenheit (also includes using his intelligence/cunning) About Monster: Bestie · Monster (ugs.) · Scheusal · Unmensch Biest (may also mean an "evil" women) · Monster · Monstrum* · Scheusal · Chimäre/Schimäre · Ungeheuer · Ungetüm* · Untier *may also mean an Item that's extremely big/excessive compared to normal items of it's type. Like a Monster Truck or Hummer compared to normal cars. For the Bug thing: Käfer (Bug); however the word is more common to describe the "VW 1303 Käfer" (Volkswagen Beetle) and Herbie (an intelligent "VW 1303 Käfer" and Star of some Dysney Movies) with his Number 53. Schabe (short for "Küchenschabe" - Cockroach) About Terror (I've go a lot a different way to say despot/despotic government): Absolutismus · Despotie · Despotismus · Diktatur · Gewaltherrschaft · Schreckensherrschaft · Terror · Tyrannei · Tyrannis · Willkürherrschaft · Zwangsherrschaft About Nebel (Fog): Brühe* · Dampf · Dunst · Nebel · Nebelschleier · Schleier · Smog · Suppe* · Trübung · Vernebelung *these mean a fog "as thick/visually impenetrable as a soup". Lots to work with. I might use Bravur unless there's a compelling reason not to use it for a 20something female.

Christopher
Re: German for Fearless? If we could use tiger instead of lion, there is one decent: "Teuflische Tiger" (devilish/devils tigers) There is also a rather seldom used word for Lion, called "Leu" (wich comes from Latin "Leo"), complemented with something other Latinic it could help. How about something like "Schwarzherz Löwen" (black-heart Lions), that just get's shorted to "Schwarzherz/Schwarzherzen" on a regular basis. The Lion also stands for the "King of the Animals/Beasts". "Königstiger" (name for a German WWII Tank) stands for "Kingly Tiger" or "King Tiger". Naming yourself "The Lion of X" or "the Lions of X" is rather common even today to say you are/your group is the best.

Christopher
Re: German for Fearless? That totally works then. Mostly I was thinking in terms of nobility. For Nobility we have: Lady (English): Dame Lady Dame (English): Freifrau (Englisch Wikipedia Article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freiherr) The other Translations are clearly Non-noble or used as non-noble terms today.
