winterhawk
I'm currently working on a side campaign which is a Reality Show "Making The Superteam" ala "Making The Band". The contestants are heroes who's codenames run from 'A to Z'. After coming up with 23 heroes (No Q or Z), I got stuck on 'R'. So I humbly ask the learned panel for some suggestions. The ground rules: No Trained Humans/Superagents or Mystics: Powers must be provable by science. No Powered Armor: No storebought hereos. No Weaponsmasters or Gadgeteers unless they have superpowers as well. No Psionics: Can't have them influencing the audience/judges. I have a full compliment of EPs and Metamorphs, so I'd like to avoid another unless they were very interesting. I know that doesn't leave much, but I know there are some creative people here. Thanks in advance.
Lord Liaden
Are you looking for a relatively detailed concept/background, or just a codename? If the latter, have you tried the "Super Names" thread? http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=603&highlight=super+names The latest update is on the last page, in alphabetical order. If one you want isn't on that list, I doubt we could think of a better one.
Blue
Re: Char. Help: Heroes from A to Z - R Originally posted by winterhawk I'm currently working on a side campaign which is a Reality Show "Making The Superteam" ala "Making The Band". He's a speedster who hails from the open highways of Nevada. His hobbies are fast cars and fast women. He's banned from most casinos, who worry his hands are too fast for the dealer's eye. Contestant #2: Ribbon! He's extra-stretchy, with the ability to string his body across an area like a rubber-band and throw opponents across the room. His hobby is macrame, and his biggest talent is the ability to assemble a ship in a bottle using his fingers. Contestant #3: Radar Rider! With the ability to use ambient sound to manipulate objects and even himself, he's a riot at any loud party. His hobby is guitar, where he only knows one chord, because "You only need one when yer me!".
Hermit
Looking at the list, Ravager sounds like a good name for a Brick type who has watched a bit too much wrestlemania
Crimson Arrow
Red "Anything You Like". Red Racer, for a speedster, for example. Maybe he's keen to prove himself and likes to challenge other speedsters. He likes to "redline" himself! Rock. He's also watched too much pro-wrestling (!). A brick, obviously, but may or may not have a rock-like body (baby blue eyes and an Aunt Petunia also optional). You could give him some kind of martial arts to back up his super strength, such as wrestling, pro-wrestling, brawling or the brick martial arts style from UMA. Racket, a sound controlling mutant. You said you had enough EPs, though. Romeo, a good-looking mutant with super agility and luck powers. Very charming too. May or may not throw playing cards (but small explosive hearts...). Loved by much of the audience (especially female viewers), but not so popular with men, in particular the other contestants. I was going to suggest an ability to make people fall in love with him, but you've ruled that out (probably wise, though).

winterhawk
All good suggestions... After going over the Name List Thread for the up-teenth time, I finally decided on Redzone, a football player who got thrown out of the league for failing the metahuman test. Get a chance to use the football MA package. Thanks again.

Guest Celt
How about Ronin? You could go with a stereotypical samurai type, or turn it on its head with a rogue brick or energy blaster.
ch0wyunf47
Looks like you're missing Z and Q... I've been toying with creating a character based on my old roomate, Zaibas. His name means "lightning" in lithuanian, and it's not often that I have or have seen a "Z" character. You're welcome to it, if you'd like
winterhawk
Originally posted by ch0wyunf47 Looks like you're missing Z and Q... I am. One of my players pointed out that neither letter appears on a telephone keypad, which makes it perfect for the 'call-in' portion of the show.
