Bloodstone
Re: Where to find: Delta and Navy SEAL templates? Which is more powerful? Would have to look it up, but you have to apply multiple templates to a character before you get the final result. IIRC, Delta Force ends up with slightly better raw combat abilities, but the Seals had a wider range of skills and may have ended up costing more... would have to check to be sure though, as I'm going from memory... Bolon
Re: Where to find: Delta and Navy SEAL templates? If you are truly interested in Navy Seals, read the "Rogue Warrior" novel by Richard Marcinko. The first book is the only non-fiction and earlier books are better than later books in the series. It might not be an official template but I think it will give you a better idea of what you are trying to create. Templates are just suggestions based on research and opinions. You might want to create your own or even modify it to your desires. Templates are a start and great for stock characters but you need to make them your own. Brother Jim
Re: Where to find: Delta and Navy SEAL templates? I don't know of an official HERO S.A.S. template. In GURPS Special Ops Third Edition the S.A.S. (and S.B.S.) is the same cost as Delta Force (185 points). For comparison SEALS are 200, Force Recon is 125, Rangers are 120, Green Berets are 145. The list of skills for the S.A.S. is literally half a page long and half a page wide. And that's just the skills that all of them have. The rest of the skills and other options fill the rest of the page.
Deadman
Re: Where to find: Delta and Navy SEAL templates? It turns out that Delta Force costs 56 points' date=' and Navy SEAL costs 132 points.[/quote'] Actually since SEALs are bought by a single package deal it would cost 132 + 24 for the Basic Package Deal = 156 Points Delta Force has to be bought in pieces Basic (24) + Ranger (92) + Green Beret (Optional 43) + Delta Force (56) = 172 (215 w/Green Beret) This comes from the description in the text explanation on page 53.
