Tech
I know I've seen the statistics for a Balrog in a Fantasy Hero setting but don't recall seeing any in a superhero setting. If you know of any statistics for a Balrog in a superhero setting, let me know. If there aren't any, well, feel free to write one up. I'd love to see it. Also, I have something of a time limit to get these statistics for an episode, possibly less than three weeks. Thanks all!
name_tamer
Re: Balrog in a superhero world This on Surbrook's stuff is a straight LOTR Balrog. I don't see anything about it that makes it particularly incompatible with a supers setting, as opposed to fantasy. It's fourth edition, but should be easy to adapt. Alternately, if you have the fifth edition Evil Unleashed, or the sixth edition Champions Villains 3, you can use the stats for Josiah Brimstone's "Demonsoul Embodied" form. Ockham's Spoon
Re: Balrog in a superhero world I use nominally Fantasy-level monsters in supers games all the time. Just scale up the defenses and DC of their attacks to bring them in line with the heroes they will be facing and you are good to go. For big monsters like dragons or the Balrog, I would add some Damage Reduction too.
phoenix240
Re: Balrog in a superhero world Boxing Martial Art Package. The Dashing Punch would be Sacrifice Strike Move, maybe with Extra DC or you could just call it a Move Through- Wait, wrong Balrog, I think.... steriaca
Re: Balrog in a superhero world The SF Balrog was the first one to pop into my mind. I know. And I was refering to the name switches used by Capcom so that thay would not be sued for having a boxer charater named "M(ike) Bison". Most of the world M. Bison = aisan area Vega Most of the world Vega = aisan Barlog Most of the world Barlog = aisan M.Bison No offence to you. Just showing my week nerd-fu. Revenant
Re: Balrog in a superhero world Never knew any of that. Interesting, kind of like that one nation that refused to show the movie Captain America under its real name.
