Sure. I think the choice works for some and would fail miserably for others. SHAZAM is supposedly a light-hearted affair anyway. He is a child and he owns it with his honesty and sincerity. He's so good, he can even shame Superman and quit the animated JL because of their methods. It would be silly to put him in something like Cap's stealth uniform, just like it would be ridiculous to put Wolverine in his yellow and blue spandex costume and cowl.

Agreed, but that's one factor among 4-5 others. Wrong stories, weak villains, poor universe building, wrong director, completely misreading what people like about the heroes, etc. PS: For Wonder Woman, only weak villain applies from the above.
