Re: Liefeld's Titans
You're quite right, Doc. I'll bring enough matches for everyone, and we can strike them all at once.Hey! You can't have all the fun (and take all the credit!) for yourself! -
Re: Liefeld's Titans
Can we have a Liefeld roast, as well. I'll bring the gasoline.I love Liefeld threads. Let's have one of these every monthAnd a match.

Re: The cranky thread
Not sure if I'm cranky, or just bummed. Early this morning (about 1:30AM Mtn time) I was about 20 minutes and $1US shy of picking up a mint-condition, shrink-wrapped copy of "Wings of the Valkyrie". It would have only cost me $29.50, including postage. Would have been an incredible bargain. Oh well, if it was meant to happen, it would have happened.

Re: Millennium City
Not sure if anyone still wants to know, but this was Storn's response to this very same question.OK, I have a question. There is a recurring picure of a meta throughout the Champions sourcebooks who I have yet to identify. She's a female character in a white bodysuit with a cape whose only apparent power is Flight. Specifically, she is pictured one pages 22, 50, and 135 in _Millenium City_ and page 158 in Champions. As often as she shows up, she must be a significant character at least in Millenium City, so who is she?
Thanks!

Re: Thoughts on using 1d20 instead of 3d6?
As for routine skill failing 5%... they don't. On routine tasks in d20, you can take 10 and get the average... every single time. A journeyman blacksmith never fails to make a horseshoe, and an expert blacksmith never fails to create a pretty nice sword. There's no equivalent in Hero. A journeyman blacksmith fails to create a horseshoe 38% of the time... which is horribly unrealistic. If he wants, he could take extra time, but his expert blacksmith mentor is going to get on his *** for his slow work on such a simple job, and he'd still have a 10 or 5% chance of failure.-Nate
Just wanted to throw in a quick point that no one has mentioned (or perhaps everyone has just overlooked): Where "routine" tasks are concerned skill rolls shouldn't even be made, unless you're in a "combat" (rushed) situation. In this type of situation, even the best at something can oops on occasion. If the character is just doing his job, on a routine task, don't make a roll. Just as with PER rolls, if you're out of combat and the thing is in plain sight there is no roll. You just see it. Same with routine tasks in the characters everyday life.

Re: A Thread for Random Musings
Just got home from seeing Blues Traveler in concert at the state fair. John Popper looked great. The band sounded incredible. I was in the second row. Absolutely awesome show.

Re: Harrington Center: A multi-purpose public building
Publius: Thanks for the map with hexes. I was trying to figure out how I was going to do that for myself. This will save me from some stress and strain.
Treb: Can we see the maps for the other floors? It would be nice to have the whole building... I mean center.

Re: Harrington Center: A multi-purpose public building
Great map. You never know when a villain might show up at a high-priced fund-raiser.
Oh, and I'd be interested in seeing the other maps.

Re: Champions miniatures
Thanks for the quick facts proditor. That's not as bad as I thought it might be. I'll keep it in mind. Who knows, maybe I'll have an entry for your next mod contest here.

Re: Champions miniatures
Nice work, Tasha.
I wish that I had the money, time, and talent, to get into modding.

Re: Teen Champion Cover!
S'ok. I have to go with MitchellS and say that a bit more of a scene would have been better. If there's anything I dislike in comicbook art, it's panels with no background. That's what this feels like to me. It's not terrible though.

Re: Build your own "New Avengers"!
Definitely my favorite Avengers lineup:
Captain America
Iron-Man
Vision
Scarlet Witch
Wonder Man
Beast
Yellowjacket
Wasp
Hawkeye
Thor
