Re: Character type specific weapons
Hey, H-Man: thanks for ruining my feeble attempt at humor.

Re: Character type specific weapons
Maybe everyone was too stunned to respond; seeing 'Bec posting in the gaming forums.

Re: Rock Tour Champions?
Yeah, I always thought that they should have given Jessica Fletcher a talking dog.

Re: I want to run a Bad Comics game
Maybe you can write to Rob Liefeld, and see if he'll do your character art for you. I hear he's not doing anything good right now...
or ever.

Re: Extra Extra: Is 5ER actually bullet proof
Are you suggesting FRED IS people?I hope they were at least bad people...
I think they are the d20 players that wouldn't convert.

Re: Extra Extra: Is 5ER actually bullet proof
Wouldn't work. Unlike Soyant Green' date=' FRED isn't people [/quote']But, they are both green. A coincidence? I think not.

Re: Lockdown:Further Questions
Hey Libra, just an FYI: Enforcer84 posted a thread on Monday saying that he'll be in London for about a week. I don't know if he'll be on the boards during that time, so he might not be able to reply until he gets back.
Thought you might like to know.

Re: Extra Extra: Is 5ER actually bullet proof
Very informative. Now I know that I was correct when I decided to use 5ER for a gaming system, and buying a Kevlar vest for my personal protection.

Re: The stars are right
According to HD, it's in Fantasy Hero, page 136.

Re: What was you most powerful Attack vs. Supervillian???
I was playing Gantua, one of my first characters, at a con pick-up game. He's a 50 STR brick w/ Superleap. He was going toe-to-toe against an "electrical Magneto". He was holding his own, but was down to less than 10 STUN. He did a short run for velocity (Half-Move), summoned up every last erg of strength (Pushed STR), and went into a flying tackle (short Superleap into a Haymaker'ed Move Through). This totaled 22 and a half d6. He did enough STUN to CON stun the villain and knock himself out. He did 22 BODY which he and the villain both sucked up. He rolled 8 for KB, sending the villain flying back into a police cruiser, for another 14d6 of impact damage. This knocked the villain out as well.

Re: Political threads are the new D20
Hey' date=' I already gave my critique. I guess people would rather argue politics endlessly than actually help a fellow board member out.[/quote']Yeah, I guess you're right. Personally, I'd rather read superhero stories, than deal with most politics.
Don't worry' date=' alywin13. I will take the heat. My rep can handle it.[/quote']I'd rep you for that, but I don't want to mess up all those pretty red squares.

Re: The Hero Verse, By Vorsch Drach
I think utilizing some of the earlier stuff would be cool ... and perhaps making a side universe of sorts ... kind of like how M&M has Freedom City and Meta-4. Heck' date=' I'd love to see the Allstonverse personally [/quote']I'll second the motion for AaronWorld. Strikeforce is probably my favorite HERO book of all time.

Re: Clairsentience and Teleport
This power is shown in the USPD on page 231. It's called Teleportation Sense. It's a Multipower, for both short and long range.

NT: Worst excuses for why you can't come in to work"Can't make it in today; I'm taking the kids to Neverland Ranch."
Maybe that's just the most twisted excuse...

Re: Hex Grids/Maps
That's good to know. I guess that the permanent markers aren't completely permanent on the cel. Must not be porous enough.
-
Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat
Any political thread on the NGD forum.

Re: Hex Grids/Maps
Another question: will water-soluble pens work on the cel? I like to be able to erase things if they are changed during the game (walls busted through, etc).

Re: Hex Grids/Maps
Blue, I think I'm going to use this method. It would be really helpful for scenarios with a large number of areas. Multiple floors in a skyscraper would be much easier, too. Do you attach the cellophane to the battlemat? If so, what do you use to attach it?

Re: Game Maps and Counters Exchange
This website has a zillion different floor plans, for almost any style house you can think of. Just go to the Browse by Type/Style box on the left, pick your style, and then pick the house you want. There is an exterior pic as well. The plans show measurements for the rooms, so that you can scale a hex grid over the plan.

Excellent story, Dave. Sounds like a great game you've got going on. I can't wait to read the next installment.

Re: A Thread for Random Musings
As of 8am this coming Wednesday, I will once again be employed; and it's full-time. No frickin' temp-to-hire crap, either. It's a small office and the two people I'll be working with seem alright. And $13 an hour to start. WOOT!!
