Can you tell me more about Pillars of Eternity? It vaguely rings a bell.

I never really played many of the old D&D computer games but I’ve heard good things about both Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale. Are they worth picking up for Mac? Anything I should know about them? Any feedback would be great. Thanks.

Yup not interested in dual-booting at the moment. And it really is the wife’s fault; she’s been after me for a decade to get an Apple and I finally got tired enough of Windows being stupidly finicky and unstable if you looked at it wrong to give in. Also: Hoo boy! are Apple computers expensive!

I’ve heard good things about Prey. Natural Selection 2 sounds like an awesome game that I will never play. 😀. I don’t have time like I used to (so steep learning curves suck) and I no longer have the patience to deal with experienced players who think newbies should just go away so they can get back to playing “real” players.

Has it improved in the last couple of years? I played around with it some a few years ago but between terrible teammates and invisible destroyers I got frustrated with it.

More RAM shouldn’t be a problem since I can (and most likely will) configure it up to 64GB.

So my wife convinced my to buy our first Apple computer and now I need some suggestions for games. I like FPS, MMO (as long as they have a good PvE component), RPG and Action/Adventure as well as things like World of Tanks. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks. I’d poster elsewhere on the site about playing Elder Scrolls Online but I didn’t care for it. Downloaded Neverwinter and a couple hours in I’m really enjoying myself. Does anyone else here play? Any advice for a newbie?

One more question: How viable is solo play?

So one of the reasons, the major one actually, that I plan on going with a Khajit is their Night Eye ability. Did they carry that over into the MMO?

My current thought is to go with a stealth/ranged Kajhit. Is that a viable build?

So I’ve downloaded the Bard’s Tale games from XBox game pass and I’ll be diving into them tomorrow. It’s been forever since I’ve played Bard’s Tale one so I’d like to ask for any advice on party design that will hold up through all three games. True but I think those products need to follow the streamlined “introductory” rule-set I was talking about. I know I started the thread talking about a signifier setting but the more I think about it the more I believe we first need to get people willing to try the game and I think a basic rule set is the best way to go about it.
