Re: Snippets Yeah, I haven't had the time...I bought the 6th Ed. books, but never have run them, and still fuzzy on a lot of the intricate rule changes...but I can storytell with the best of them... And my females aren't 'bimbofied' anymore either, lol...although it does take a lot of work to provide believable depth.

Re: Snippets Just storytelling, or are you running still? Fred or 6th?

Re: Snippets Interesting...on-going game? Or memories from the vault posted in prose?
5. Re: Superhero Images Here's a new pic from me...Bolshevik...a water-based brick. I originally wanted the dark grey part of the uniform to be like underarmor, or the nike 'armor' stuff...turned out more like scale mail, but in an unintentional homage to Aquaman, it works. Pic done with Berol Prismacolors.
6. Re: Just for fun... Here's my lastest project...a revisited character, Kyoji...a few years ago I posted him...people might remember the ornate helmet...he was a ninja character for a Naruto based teen ninja game on Hero Central. Here's the updated version of his armor...sort of like Hidden Leaf Village meets the Guyver...too bad the scan wasn't very good, pic was too big to fit in the scanner bed...the one side lifted off the plate a bit...anyway, here goes...done with Berol Prismacolor and a gel pen for the fine black line detail. The larger image is in my folder Doc's Pics in the Artist's Forum.
7. Re: Superhero Images Nope, I actually looked at a lead miniture for the pose, the added the costume components...e.g. the Skull helmet, shoulders, etc. Loved the Timothy Truman Grimjack art, stylized but very rich.
8. Re: Superhero Images Here's Everest...the true copy looks really good, very 3-dimensional...the scan didn't turn out that well for some reason...very grainy...anyway...he's done in Berol Prismacolor and I used the "bigblank" as the template.
9. Re: Superhero Images Some recent drawing, blanks for others to use...Arachnis was created from the "Heroblank"...both original drawings where pen sketches at work...all of maybe 3" tall...
10. Re: The HERO System 6th Edition Ah...found it...are the Basic System/Advanced Player's books adequate as replacements for the Hardcover books, or simply supplements and I'll need the two Hardcover books as well?
11. Re: The HERO System 6th Edition Question about paperback editions... I searched for the Hero System books online, and after considerable effort, found them. I also found 2 books, paperback versions...of slightly different names, but appear to be at least similar to the hardcover Basic System and Advanced Player books. Are they similar, compatible, just paperback versions of the hardcover books?...I was leery of them because they have different names, and before I purchased them, I wanted some clarification. Sorry, I haven't found any other reference to them...maybe I'm just blind, or my google-fu is weak. Thanks in advance.
12. Re: Superhero Images Here's another version...a little bit darker/menacing...restyled the markings on the legs/arms to better match the center design. Arachnis in red...
13. First work.... that I've done in over a year...I was pleased with the results after being so out of practice...here goes...Arachnis...colored with Berol Prismacolor
14. Re: Superhero Images Thanks Cybertooth, A few pages ago, when it was first posted, I took a look at the Guild. Sounds like a great idea, I however, couldn't possibly keep up with the one pic a week criteria. Working full-time, going to school nearly full-time, being married and trying to be a foster parent leaves me a little stretched most of the time... Thanks for the comments and the rep.
15. Superhero Images Here's another character, can't recall the name, but generic martial artist with swords.
16. Superhero Images Thanks for the compliment. Here's a trio of pics for a character "Powersurge" I drew for a friend in a face-to-face game. The evolution of ideas, and the last pic that he was happy with. The first two are pretty faint.
17. Superhero Images Found this in my pile of stuff...I think this was the concept pic for Electric Blue...
18. Superhero Images Here's another, a cheescake pic I guess, I remember drawing it, but I have no recollection of the character name or abilities...
19. Superhero Images And last, but not least, Badger#5
20. Superhero Images Badger #4
21. Superhero Images Artist's Guild sounds cool, but I don't think I could live up to the 1 pic/week...sorry. I was digging up/throwing away a ton of junk...found a lot of old artwork, some even from 20 years ago. I found these 5 pics...color variations on a costume for a character of mine, a Wolverine rip-off, "Badger"
22. And finally... I created a female mentalist...Masquerade..
23. Blatant copies... I wanted a Thor clone, so I came up with Stormbreaker...
