  1. Re: Superhero Images Certainly, I'd like joining a campaign too. The only things I would make very clear is that EVERY piece of artwork is done by hand. I DON'T DO computer graphics, and I have a full-time job, so a piece might take a little while, depending on the complexity. If that's understood, great, I like drawing, and this is sort of a way to be "known", I suppose. Thanks for the kudos.
  2. Re: Superhero Images Wow, busy thread, 6 pages in a few days. Originally posted by Worldmaker: This looks absolutely fantastic. Are you going to be doing more artwork for the GGU? I haven't heard anything from Roger or Brian about it. Well, as far as other GGU characters, I don't know. I liked doing the first pic, but no one else has contacted me.
  3. Superhero Image This is a picture I drew for a Global Guardians campaign. The character is Mr. Invincible. He's a 1930's four-color brick character. The pants and boots were more functional, they didn't have spandex in the 1930's did they?
  4. Cyberpunk Champions This is slightly off-topic. But related to "Cyberpunk", how does one go about constructing a "cyberverse". To build powers that simulate the ideas presented in an electronic reality is easy enough, but the playing out is just special effect. Unless of course, everyone interacts in the pocket universe, or is it just a bunch of Solo adventures with the powers limited by "Only in Cyperspace"
  5. Re: M&M: this is a Nightmare? Anything but Champions for a Superheroic game.................blasphemer's, heretic's, cad's...................really now...HERO is probably the most versatile, creative system made. GURPS did a good job, but ultimately was far to abusable, d20 is a great system, I just don't like how it translates into Superheroic's(In ANY form, or subform). If NEW players are having a difficult time, the GM should assist them. HERO is COMPLICATED for the experienced Gamer, it's meant to be that way. I helped a new player with a simple idea, he wanted to be the "Greatest American Hero", I made the character for him, wrote some simple notes about the powers, etc., and let him PLAY the character. A supportive and competant GM will allow the player to learn the system, have fun with the character, and create a fun and memorable experience for all involved. In the end the NEW player, HAD A BLAST........... If your gaming group is a bunch of padawans, then be the Jedi Master...... For all things Superheroic, make mine HERO and CHAMPIONS, nothing compares................................
  6. Re: What superhero character concepts are you tired of seeing? I agree, The content of the character and the fully developed concept are far more important than the set of powers, skills, etc, that make up the character.
  7. Re: Can you suggest some powers for these images? Thanks for the compliment, Hawksmoor. If that's what it was.........anyway, if you or anyone you know are interested in character pics, let me know. You can PM me here, and I'll email you back. Thanks again, I think.
  8. Re: Looking for artist for Global Guardians PBEM game I thought I'd post a generic woman template. Maybe, the powers that be at Global Guardians could use it for some characters.
  9. Re: Can you suggest some powers for these images? Well, not to sound too stuffy, because I really liked the computer graphics(probably Photoshop), but I was a little disappointed with the quality of the overall characters. I suppose a great deal of you appreciate a 12" waist and 48 GG breasts, but I have always liked the more realistic pictures. So enclosed, I drew a simple pencil drawing of a plain template woman, with appropriate silicone breasts and realistic hips. Enjoy.
  10. Re: Dark Champions - To Buy or Not To Buy? Well DC is a BBB product, so the starting characters are 250 pts., but it's your universe, you decide what you want. As far as powers, they are usually minor, it's a street level book, with an emphasis on guns, and equipment. It's a good book for setting the tone of a genre, even if you have high powered supers. The attitude is what is important.............
  11. Re: Dark Champions - To Buy or Not To Buy? Buying the old version certainly wouldn't hurt. The price is right. I guess your interest would be in the type of campaign you have. Do you normally play four color campaigns, or highly law-oriented genres? If you do, this is probably not for you. Then again, if you play with a lot of shades of grey, with a liberal amount of violence mixed in, THIS IS the supplement for you. It's a very useful sourcebook, with some interesting ideas, for the RIGHT mindset of course.
  12. Re: What would your character do (65?) -Recruiting pitch Nightwatch, is based in Millenium City. Seeing the "advertisement", he would use his computer skills, crack the code into Homestead, downloading the info. Depending on the seriousness, possibly approach them with his services or at least some useful information.
  13. Resisting gravity Each would have at least a 10 STR Telekinesis, no fine manipulation, only to resist gravity............. Also, at least 5" Flight, only along a surface, only for locomotion.............after all none of them have feet!
  14. Re: Looking for artist for Global Guardians PBEM game This is a quick pic I did of Mr. Invincible, at Global Guardians.
  15. character images Modrogon, Let me know what you're interested in, what your expectations are. If you have a specific format needed, etc. Maybe we can reach an agreement. You can either PM me, or email.

The primary skin of the armor is a silver/chrome. The shoulders, stomach and back are covered with gold tesselated hexagonal scale-mail. It has reinforced plate armor on the shins, feet, chest, forearms and helmet. The underlying exoskeleton is black and form-fitting. There are various bronze accents throughout the armor. The armor accessories are a 6 ft. Power staff, and a 4 ft. diameter circular Hoverboard. BACKGROUND Richard Cogliati is the son of the prominent crime lord Mario Cogliati. Richard was a child of privilege and ambition. Early in his childhood, Richard took an interest in the Martial Arts. He studied and practiced until he earned his Black Belt in Quan Ki Do. Richard was also exceptionally bright, excelling in science and mathematics. Richard graduated with honors from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Richard always conflicted with his father's profession and methods. He also desperately sought after his father's approval. After his graduation, he went home and decided to follow in his father's footsteps. His father decided to test his loyalty and commitment, making him an assassin. Unknown to him, his father chose a very specific victim for his son's first hit. Ironically, his first and only hit changed his life forever. Richard carried out his orders with lethal efficiency, only to discover a moment too late, that he had assassinated his best friend and college roommate, Matthew Miller. This act struck at Richard's soul, his friend Matt had come from poverty and done amazing things to help the innocent and needy with his genius. Matt was the one true friend that he had counted on, and Matt had never asked him for anything in return. After Richard covertly delivered his friend's body to the city morgue, he gathered his belongings and fled to Matt's home. When he got there, he was shocked to find the Cavalier armor. He had thought that it was only a fantasy of Matt's. He had even drawn up working prototypes for Matt, as a gag Christmas gift. Matt had apparently been the popular new hero in town, Cavalier. Then and there, he decided to honor Matt's memory, and became Cavalier. Since that night, Richard has been driven to help the weak and victimized, time and time again, putting himself in mortal danger to pay penance for his sin. Richard has gained employment with several Hi-tech research and development companies as an independant contractor. He has set up a private research and fabrication lab to work on his prototypes.(Greatly preserving his identity as Ian Kimmerling) He has not made much money as of yet, his patents and research break even for the most part with his expenses as Cavalier. He hopes that his business ventures will garner him the wealth and freedom he needs to devote more time to being Cavalier. Richard is waiting and watching for his day of reckoning, when his father finally catches up to him. Character created with Hero Designer (version 1.48)
  17. The Zodiac? Is that the same group with the "original" Minotaur, and the alien spacestation that was their base? That was a cool module. I picked it up by complete chance at a hobby store. It was collecting dust in the used games section. I think I spent $2. That would be an interesting conversion

  19. character generation Killer Shrike, I just wanted to say that I thought the collaboration in creating/updating the Brown Recluse was great. I don't understand one thing though....doesn't FrED frown on skills in power frameworks? I understand why they're there, but still, it just seems to be a way to shave points, for points shake. I'm not disagreeing at all, I've done similar things, especially with skills that would pass off as minor Magical effects, but wouldn't the "company" disagree with the usage. Or is that a topic for a creative power/skill abuse thread? Also, can you give my any more detail for Cerebellum's costume. Is she a spandex loving fanboy, or more of a superspy, or even executive 1000 dollar suit wearing menace? Just some random thoughts, again, great collaboration
  20. villians for hire I'd like to post, this is a great thread. I just can't figure out how to post my HDC files. I know read the text...............still haven't figured it out. Anyway, I liked the input on the thread, great job. And one of these days when I figure it out, I post something interesting.
  21. or is it something deeper?
  22. character image Okay, this is a cheesy repost, but I didn't like the mouth on the first Quest pic, so I changed it.........
  23. fyredrake Interesting idea for a costume. It reminds me a little of the Rob Leifeld style IMAGE comics character.(I like the 2nd Ed. template, old school art, cool) What are his power levels, from your description of the post-nuclear world, I would imagine quite strong.
  24. character image This is a character I just cut, pasted, and fancied up with my scanner utility and the templates posted by Arkham. This character exists in my CU, the character is Quest, Polaris' little sister.........
  25. templates Cool link for templates, Gives a litte variety for the creative, if not artistically gifted individual. Thanks for sharing.
