drrushing got a reaction from pinecone in Superhero Images
Here's my next submission for my Knights Templar. The original character was "XS", as in "excess", speed, looks, bra size, etc... A bit too cheesy, and basically an NPC, I only used her a few times, but did many combat simulations with this character, when trying to refine archetypes. I was recently watching "The Batman", and I've always liked that version of the Catwoman costume. So to fill the "speedster" slot for the Knights, I created Cheetah. She's got a mystical component, (connection to Bast, 9 lives, etc.)...and also the costume has certain technological enhancements as well. A very dexterous, very fast sprinter, who almost never gets hit. Here's the line drawing and the colored finish. Done with pencil and Berol Prismicolor.

Here's the next revamped uniform for my "Knights Templar"...the leader's last name is Templar...I know it's not terribly original, but it works. Anyway here's the next character, Badger...actually 30 years now since I first played him. (Wolverine knock-off)...his skeleton was infused with Promethium (DC alloy...the harder you hit it, the harder it gets)...at this point, he's a galactic level hero.

WCW...nice... The six armed "cross" is actually a function of the armor...like slots in a MP...variations of EB, etc. Also notice the "notch" in the shield...I didn't want a "unibeam"...so I came up with this...the sword 'plugs' into the shield, the combined power, etc., creates the mega-beam effect (as well as requiring 2 hands).

Nifty look for the armor there. May I make a suggestion? Swap out those six-armed cross emblems for the Greek letter Omega and call him Iron Omega--and he goes around saying things like, "I am Omega, the end of everything--especially you!!!"
Just a thought. Hope that helps.

I drew this about a month ago...rehashing the process over and over...this was originally "Steelfist"...Ironman knockoff that I used a few times...tons of power, just never got the feel for the character, so he became a very useful NPC. I wanted to redesign him, and my current concept for my own world involves a variety of themes, such as magic, steampunk, and alien tech...so I redesigned him as "Ironforge" with a steampunk concept...except now I look at him and think..."I gave a schizophrenic an American Express Black card, and set him loose in a 1930's government supply depot..." I like the design, but I'm not settled on it...he's in the 9' range, but I'm thinking of redesigning again, making him more like a Titanfall mech...or the Veronica Hulkbuster...tell me what you think... (his current colors are going to be metallic, bronzes, copper, steel gray and black were applicable)

Thanks Scott Baker for the instructions.
I haven't drawn in about 2 years...man the time flies when you have grand and foster kids, lol...anyway, I uncovered a 20 year old pic of a character of mine, Kestrel. I wanted to update the theme, colors, etc. Let me know what you think. (I'm considering compiling my "world", sort of a personal themed kickstarter...) Kestrel was the first character that sparked my interest in the idea. Here's the original pic, the updated, side by side. All hand drawn, colored with Berol Prismacolor.

I see your time with the coloring books hasn't been wasted. The depth of color has greatly improved.

Golden Age Concept
Hi again,
This Aero, a WWII concept, 4 color hero I came up with. A special agent of the US Army, working with the new "superheroes", Aero is an Army soldier given a flying suit. The technology was stolen from the Germans(who had gleened it from alien technology), and produced this prototype light armor, which granted Aero, flight, enhanced vision, limited life support and bulletproof protection. On his thighs are twin "plane buster" .50 pistols with specialized rounds to cripple enemy planes.
Anyways, here he is....drawing done with pencil, pen and dollar store colored marker.

Playing with watercolors
Hi again,
This is a pic of a character that I drew probably a couple of years ago. I was never really satisfied with it, but I liked the way the cape flowed. I pulled it out a couple of days ago, and painted it with watercolors...a different medium for me. The background completely faded when I scanned it, she's supposed to be hovering in the clouds....sigh.....anyway, this is Liberty...and for Herophiles....her "starred" harness, is a psychic energy absorption harness which absorbs the ambient feelings of the people/crowd around her, and turns it into heightened abilities, so if she has a lot of public support, or "american spirit" as it were, she becomes more powerful.

Been a long time.....
since I posted, but this is a simple drawing of my character in a game at Herocentral....Yoshikawa Kyoji......a ninja with origami powers that mimic things in nature....for instance....his "sword" is a Mantis claw....

Re: Superhero Images
Here's my latest pic.: Nightstalker........I liked the pic, but I was really disappointed with the scanning. The depth and texture of the armor was completely lost. And there was these strange bands across the pic....but anyway, here it is...pencil drawing, Berol Prismacolor colors.

character image and profile
I updated the background on my Cavalier picture, with a brighter skyline. I also attached the Herodesigner character. He's 5th ed., 350 base, and some experience. Tell me what you think.
