  1. Does an Entangle with Stops Hearing Group "gag" the entangled target as well? Thanks.
  2. Re: WWYCD: We're here for the reward money... Trent would lurk in the shadows, watching. He would ask his glass hand computer if it had any relivant historical data on the events unfolding and then go see what trouble Consuela's managed to get herself into this time.
  3. Re: WWYCD: Bride Of The Shadow Lord Most of my characters would start doing research on what, if anything, is supposed to happen if Terror'Khan acquires a virgin bride and decide what to do from there. Yes, it was a good thing in the short term that his interferance prevented the summoning of The Elder Gods Of Doomâ„¢, but I think it would be best to make sure something worse isn't going to come of this.
  4. Re: Answers & Questions Q: Dude, is that a Fnord? A: Quite simply, the CEO is MIA, the CFO is AWOL, and we are all SOL.
  5. First, if you haven't seen the classic Outer Limits episode Demon With A Glass Hand please go see it and then come back (you can probably find a copy for rent at Blockbuster or Hollywood or even snag one from Ebay or Amazon). For those who have, let's proceed: Problem #1: Trent's glass hand computer itself. I'm having difficultly deciding whether it qualifies to be built as an AI or is just a special effect for abilities and disads Trent possesses. On one hand, Trent seems to suffer some form of amnesia when the three key fingers (somekind of memory storage media?) of the hand are removed. On the other hand, it also seemed to be able to speak and act independently of Trent, such as in the scene where it "healed" Trent with Consuela's help- though I suspect the hand did all that so she wouldn't freak when Trent suddeny came back to life after taking what should have been a fatal gunshot wound (this was before she found out he was an android). Problem #2: The "Wire." Would this be just a plot device that doesn't cost/give Trent points? Would it qualify as a Disad? Or would possessing it be something he'd have to pay for, say in the form of a PERK? Other than the above problems, I'm figuring that- despite the fact that he's an android- Trent isn't much more capable than what is humanly possible except maybe in his ability to survive being shot or damaged in ways that would kill a human and being effectively ageless. I've also decided to give him Consuela as a DNPC. I know she freaked out in the end and ran away, but in my reasoning, someone as intelligent as Trent is portrayed to be wouldn't just let her go without at least keeping regular tabs on her. Remember, she knows who and what he really is...
  6. Re: Character Background Help Sounds like you've had experience in that field.
  7. Re: Building my namesake Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! BTW, anyone here who's familiar with the episode got any thoughts on how to cover "The Wire" in his write-up or should I just mention it in his background and leave it to the realm of "plot devices"?
  8. Hi, I'm new here but I've been playing Hero since 4th ed in the 90s. I'm alittle rusty, but I remember some of the basics. I just got my 5th ed this year and the first character I what to build is the android Mister Trent from the classic Outer Limits episode Demon With A Glass Hand. Any suggestions? Particularly, any suggestions on stats to give Trent and his glass hand AI? and how much would the whole "if someone removes its three key fingers, Trent suffers amnesia" deal be worth as a Physical Limitation? Thanks
