  2. Re: Kara Loft: Lost In The Sands Of Egypt I'm surprised no one has made a pun about Miss Loft getting wrapped up in her work... [ducks]
  3. Re: Kara Loft: Lost In The Sands Of Egypt And here I thought the Rame Tep cult got put down for good during the Victorian age... Get Kara out of the sarcophagus and revive her, and assuming she can identify whoever was responsible, go give them a thrashing.
  4. Re: Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury #1: Security Robot Zaps Burglar First, I (and pretty much any character I played) would want to closely scrutinize the plaintiff's claim that he suffered nerve damage. If it's true he might have a case albeit a weak one IMO. If he's lying, not only would he not have a case he would be attempting to defraud the court, and it goes without saying that that's something judges tend to frown upon. Second, he himself admitted he was at that residence with felonious intentions. Plus, the surveillance video shows he more than likely had violent felonious intentions. Attacking a security robot with a crowbar looks bad enough for him as is, but what if we replaced the robot with a flesh-and-blood human security guard? I'm no legal eagle by any stretch of the imagination, but I believe that could have potentially constituted assault with a deadly weapon and the human guard would have been well within his rights to put some bulletholes in him.

  6. Re: Sea Creature 1) Looking at its's DR, you'd need to bring out the larger guns and/or Armor Piercing ammo to do BODY to one of these SOBs; maybe even break out the shotguns. Of course, it seems reasonable enough for something like this to be that tough. 2) Exacty how does this thing subdue its "bride" after it grabs her? You're alittle vague on that point. 3) The burst of speed thing is a nice option for this thing to have, kudos.
  7. Re: Nebula from Conquerors, Killers, & Crooks p.184-186 I've always found it funny that it's never once occured to her that she's lightyears outside her jurisdiction and that sending people to Duress willy-nilly and stepping on the toes of the local authorities is just asking for trouble. But I guess she's just arrogant that way.
  8. Re: Wrath Of The Anicent Pharaoh Can we give him Paris Hilton?
  9. Re: A Normal Tempted With Dark Power... Grab the worm talisman from the soup, it'll be needed to change all those people back. As for the kid, I'm with Volt on that.
  10. Re: Psychological Limitation: Dangerous When Bored.... I'd make it Common in most cases, everyday life can be quite boring. Allow me to also say that the above very accurately describes just about everyone I remember going to high school with....
  11. Re: I Just Shoot Marvin In The Face Read them the riot act for their carelessness...then go somewhere for a beer and a Royale with Cheese.
  12. Re: The Death Of Vinnie The Viceroy I still can't believe Vinnie and his gang would just stand there and let themselves get slaughtered like that. Seriously. The "Well, what do you know, good as new" part, for any sensible person, would've been the cue to run like hell.
  13. Re: The Death Of Vinnie The Viceroy Hmmm.... Give what we just saw happen to the last group of people to get caught messing with Fairweather/Shadow Lord's office bunny, this really doesn't sound like a wise course of action.
  14. Re: The Death Of Vinnie The Viceroy Personally, I'm amazed that Vinnie and his gang didn't run for their lives while they had the chance. Of course, that may just be my Genre Savvy talking.
  15. Re: THE ULTIMATE BASE -- What Do *You* Want To See? Under the Kingdom rules, let's say you want to run sort of an Evil Genius type of game with the PCs' evil organizations against various nations and the UN. Are there rules to cover sending minions into regions to steal money and other valuable forms of loot?
  16. A character has a gun (RKA) with more clips of charges than what he'd logically be able have on him at any given time. Could he designate a number of clips he would routinely carry and put the rest in a stockpile (i.e., at his Base)? Thanks.
  17. Re: Jokes So, two guys run into each other in the afterworld and strike up a conversation about the circumstances of their deaths. The first one, Bob, said simply, "I froze to death. It sucked." The second, Greg, nodded sympathically then recounted his tale: "I was a rich man, and an insanely jealous husband. I was always paranoid that my wife was cheating on me. One day, I came home from the office and found another man's clothes thrown over the couch in the den. I tore through the entire house top-to-bottom looking for the bastard, screamed at my wife, and eventually collapsed from a sudden, fatal heart attack in the kitchen." Bob shook his head. "that is a shame, really. Hell, if you had only looked in the walk-in freezer, one of us might still be alive."
  18. Re: WWYCD: The Jack-In-The-Box Scenario Me: Duck and cover, you pretty much know this thing's going to explode or do something equally nasty. My characters: investigate to find out did this.
  19. Re: Enter Fluffy (or "Aw, can't we keep 'em?") While I (and my characters) would echo the sentiments of those who say "Fluffy" should be handled cautiously, I'm a little troubled by the thought of heroes who would cut to the quick and just kill the creature without finding out for sure if it's a threat or not. For all they know, yamamaru's Puffer Fish theory might not be too far off the mark. All it really did in this situation was scare off some predators that were about to eat it. It has a sense of self-preservation the same as any other living thing, that's hardly enough in and of itself to make it a dangerous monster.
  20. Re: Enter Fluffy (or "Aw, can't we keep 'em?") That sounds like a good way to earn a Hunted: ASPCA 14-.
  21. Okay, the concept here is a character, obstensively human, who is in perfect health...too perfect, infact, when his habits are taken into consideration. This guy smokes, drinks, and has eating habits that would make most doctors and/or dietians blanch in horror; yet somehow every physical he ever takes shows him to not only be in good health, but in textbook perfect health across the board, something that by all logic should be impossible. I already have the Life Support part of this covered, so this is a question of what Disadvantage(s) would be fitting: Distinctive Features? Social Limitation? Both?
  22. Re: Infantized Invader However the group wants to deal with the matter of little Zim is fine by me, though there's no way in hell I'm changing any diapers.
  23. Re: The Devil's Advocate? See if anyone can summon up Daniel Webster to take this joker on.
  24. Re: Leech's Reversion Good point.
