  2. Re: Multipower slot reserve limitations Yes. Limitations on the multipower, supersede the limitations on the individual slots. So having the same limitation on the multipower and on an individual slot does not give you the cost reduction twice, instead the one on the slot will be "removed/replaced" by the one on the multipower.
  3. Re: Battle Royale Demo Here are the PDF's I used for the demo.
  4. Re: Battle Royale Demo The players controlled the characters themselves. The guy controlling the "crossbow lady" was the organizer of the overall event so he spent the rest of the time talking with other folks in the store. His intention was just to get the ball rolling on the demo anyways.
  5. Re: Battle Royale Demo It went pretty good, we only got a single demo in and that lasted 2 hours, about 2-4x as long as I had wanted. I learned that I need to streamline it a bit and one of the suggestions was to pair up the characters to make it a 2v2 battle. I don't have a full blow by blow account and the pictures that were taken haven't been posted at the stores site, yet, but I can give a quick overview: Each player started at a board side and raced to the middle, except the wizard, who hung back and maneuvered behind the dwarf, attempting to hit with spell after spell. The dwarf ignored him trying to close in with sword&board. Sword&board went straight after the crossbow lady, who overestimated her durability. She danced around, just out of reach of sword&board, but left herself open to the dwarf's surprise move through attack. He slammed into her, sending her flying 10m and killing her (the only actual death in the game). Immediately after that, the wizard finally managed to nail the dwarf with his chains spell, locking him up for most of the rest of the game. Sword&board left the dwarf to rot and ran after the wizard, who kept trying to cast his chains spell on him, but sword&board kept reflecting it with his shield as they moved around the board. Finally sword&board was able to reflect the chains spell into the wizard, locking the wizard up. Sword&board KO'd the wizard just in time for the dwarf to free himself. Sword&board waited for the dwarf, taking recoveries every phase until he got there. The dwarf did his bullrush maneuver to close the distance, and sword&board dodged, sending the dwarf smashing through the building behind him. Sword&board turned and waited, taking another recovery as the dwarf bullrushed him again, this time connecting. But sword&board took the shot and slid back nearly 10m, remaining standing (straight out of an anime). From here the two just came to blows. The dwarf kept striking with his hammer and Sword&board kept blocking, triggering his riposte maneuver, finally the dwarf was tired of not connecting so he hit the ground with his earthquake power, KO'd sword&board and launched him 7m back. That shot dropped the dwarf to 0 END and was his hail mary play.
  6. Re: Bird Vision Yes on the beaks, yes on arms with fingers, thinking 4 fingers at this time. Their legs and feet are still like their ancestors, even moving/bending the "same", but they are upright in their gate and posture.
  7. Re: Bird Vision The race of folks are evolved from pheasants into humanoid pheasants. They are flightless and tail less. I currently have them at 5' 10" and weighing 165 lbs. a comparable human in the setting is 5'10" and 180 lbs.
  8. Re: D3 Games Wins a Gaming Genius Award! Thanks everyone
  9. Re: Bird Vision Thanks Bloodstone. The next question is about weight. If you had a mammal and a bird of equal size, about how much lighter would a bird be, as rough percentage? I'm thinking 50% of the mammals weight.
  10. Re: Bird Vision Bwaha, ok, that pretty much answers my questions, thanks to everyone for helping.
  11. Re: D3 Games Wins a Gaming Genius Award! Thank you very much
  12. Re: Bird Vision So, if they are able to see in front of them, why do they always cock their heads to the side when looking at something? Oh zoology, how you frustrate me.
  13. Re: D3 Games Wins a Gaming Genius Award! Thanks!
  14. Re: Bird Vision I just noticed the confusion...When I said "prey bird"...I really meant bird that is prey, not Bird of Prey. I apologize for that...should have used the term, game bird, but then that wouldn't take into account sparrows and such.
  15. Re: Bird Vision Specifically: Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Aves Order: Galliformes Family: Phasianidae Subfamily: Phasianinae Genus: Chrysolophus Species: C. pictus The Golden Pheasant
  16. Re: Bird Vision Do non-raptors have that telescopic vision? Wouldn't they have non-stereoscopic vision? Would the lack of stereoscopic vision actually give a similar complication as 'one-eyed'?
  17. How would you build a prey birds eyesight? Primarily a complication that represents their difficulty of seeing directly in front of themselves without twisting their head to the side?
  18. Re: D3 Games Wins a Gaming Genius Award! Oooh, a pony would be awesome! But no, we do get a trophy. Once it arrives, I'll take a pic of it and post it. Gracias!
  19. Hello all, So, against all odds and in a field of seriously big name titles, D3 Games has won a Gaming Genius Award. Our first release and flagship title; 'Kamarathin: Kingdom of Tursh' won the 2011 Gaming Genius Award for Best Writing! To say that we are excited, grateful and stunned would be an understatement. To add to this, our nomination was put in by a fan, which has made this even more amazing for us. We'd like to thank all of those that submitted votes for us and especially the person that liked us enough to submit us for a nomination. THANK YOU!
  20. Re: Extra Limbs and Centaurs So how's this:
  21. Re: Extra Limbs and Centaurs How much of a Limitation would this be, you think? -3/4?
  22. Hello all, So I've got a couple of races that are following a centaur template, in that they have 4 legs on an animal body and then a humanoid torso with 2 arms. I'm looking at the template in the 6E Fantasy Hero for the centaur and I noticed that it doesn't list extra limbs as a power. I've always built these types of critters in 5E with the extra-limbs power and now I'm wondering what you folks would think the reason for leaving it out in the 6E centaur would be?
