Re: Seemingly Silly Things to Model
Well, after that, there's only one thing to do...
Steal Someone's What Have You:
Drain, 5d6, Gestures (both hands, must take something from the target) (-1/2), OIF (something belonging to, or part of, the target) (-1/2); 50 AP, 25 Real points
plus Variable Effect for Drain: one power at a time: Base Cost 12 points; Variable Special Effects, any special effect (+1/2): 18 Active and Real Points
plus VPP: 30 Pool Points. Control: 15 Base Points; Zero-Phase Action (+1), No Skill Roll Required (+1); 45 Active Points. Requires Successful HTH Attack Roll (-1/2), Requires Successful Drain (-1), Only to Mimic Target's Power(s) (-1/2), May Only Be as Powerful as "Amount" Drained from Target (-1/2), Gestures (both hands, must take something from the target) (-1/2), OIF (something belonging to, or part of, the target) (-1/2); 10 Real Points
Total: 143 Active Points, 83 Real Points
The user of this power goes up to the target, grabs/removes something material from the target, and thus steals a power from the target and takes it for himself. Since anything associated with the target will work for any power, it doesn't matter what it is. Some users of this power carry around a small pair of scissors, and aren't too particular about what they get, including small pieces of flesh.
Designer's note: I was stuck for how to Drain any power, of any special effect (the "Variable Effect" Advantage described under "Adjustment Powers" only allows "a related group of special effects"). I bought it as a Naked Advantage, and put the Advantage "Variable Special Effects" on it. It's a defensible build, though I don't know if it's "legal". The VPP has only 30 Pool Points and that's the maximum the Drain can do.
