  1. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Congrats to you !
  2. Re: I have a dream. (and MAN was it wierd!) I don't know if it's the new medication or what, but lately my dreams have been very vivid and very real-seeming. Everything has been sharp and focused and made sense even though there have been the usual endless buildings and college dorms. There has been the usual seeking my room or house or hotel or purse and the building just getting more and more complicated and bigger. I actually asked OddHat upon waking if I'd ever had a secret locker or crawlspace at the Club because the dream seemed so real and for a moment I wasn't sure whether it was a dream or a memory. They lock people up for losing touch with reality. I wish I had dreams like bunneh's.
  3. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread I love and appreciate my Husband. He does not necessarily love to spend time with his Sisters or Nephew, although the Nieces are OK, yet he has been running around like a chicken without a head, driving three hours up and back to upstate NJ Friday, showing up for an extended brunch here at his Mom's today and then taking his Sister and Niece and I to a Korean place for dinner. It's not over yet. He has to drive upstate again at 6:00 am tomorrow after having no time to himself today to spend the whole day in New York with our Nephew, who isn't exactly Mr. Congeniality. Yet he does it all cheerfully, with zero complaints. Going to bed early tonight, he asked to please hold me. Then he asked if I would please pet him to sleep. My love and appreciation for my wonderful Husband know no bounds.
  4. Re: The cranky thread Blessings to your Grandmother and you, Hermit. I also pray the suit is not needed.
  5. Re: Quote of the Week From My Life. Me: Pet the cat. OddHat: Are you sure it's a cat ? Me: I dunno, it has ears and a tail, but maybe it's a fat meatloaf.
  6. Re: And now, for your daily dose of cute... Lol at Bazza's cat sleeping piccies. Would someone please rep him for me ?
  7. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat She carries a big cherry lollipop rather than a magnifying glass. NT: Ways you can tell that the Obamas are a Mistress and Slave: Let's keep it family-friendly, Kids.
  8. Re: The cranky thread I take five medications which have the warning: May cause dizziness. Today I had to skip the Supermarket because I am one Dizzy Dame.
  9. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat The bones of a Search Party.
  10. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Just saw my first Christmas Sale advertised. A Mom and Pop store I like online is having Christmas in July. I declare this to be the earliest ever Christmas sale I have seen and my first for Christmas, 2012.
  11. Re: The cranky thread I have, over the course of this Summer, sent three perfectly nice ham and cheese omelets to their grave. One of them was made to order at a buffet. I must remember that no matter how hungry I feel in the morning, I have very little appetite until about 2:00-3:00 pm, then I'm famished. Unless, of course, I stay up all night or get up early as I did this morning. Then the hunger never stops. Still couldn't eat though. There is nothing worse than being hungry and being unable to make yourself eat.
  12. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat When you desperately need the bathroom. NT: Describe the hat Princess Beatrice might wear to the Olympics:
  13. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread I am very happy I was able to sleep pretty well last night. I was sure I was going to be up all night but I was asleep by 11:00 or 11:15.
  14. Re: The cranky thread Perhaps, as a woman, I can shed some light on this conundrum. We women, when we have a problem, just want a sympathetic ear and no judgement. It is a bad idea to give anyone advice, man or woman, as even if they ask for it, they usually don't really want it. Even if someone asks, the best thing to say is, I don't know, what do you think you should do ? Telling someone what has worked for you is better. But women especially just need a good listener. They do not want advice. The best thing to do when a woman tells you her problems is to just listen and then give her a hug. No woman wants a quick fix. If you give her that, she will think you are not listening or taking her seriously. So the best thing to do when a woman tells you her problems is to just listen.

  16. Re: The cranky thread Where does a cuddly size 18 Gal get a pair of Yoga pants that fit ? I've tried Amazon twice and they're both too small, despite being marked 2X.
  17. Re: The cranky thread Get well soon.
  18. Re: The cranky thread Got to get the sugar and white flour down to zero. Very tough.
  19. Re: The cranky thread I believe the usual Male Ritual is pizza, football and "Saucy" movies.
  20. Re: The cranky thread Sigh. L. Marcus has run out of his meds again.
  21. Re: The cranky thread Gotta watch that loose power. Who knows what deviltry it may get you into.
  22. Re: The cranky thread I guess I live in one of them. I saw three different shows from my bedroom window tonight.
  23. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread I was in a lousy mood when I heard fireworks going off, so I looked out my bedroom window and saw three fireworks displays going on in different places at once. It cheered me up considerably.
  24. Re: The cranky thread My Husband is pushing and pushing himself way too hard, working out day after day on sore muscles, refusing to take the full rest days he needs and now has vowed to work out twice a day, six days a week. He's losing a pound and a half a week and not eating enough; only 1700 calories a day. It's a horrible self-abuse which I am powerless to stop.
  25. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread What are those things ?
