  1. Re: Critique My Metamorph Thanks for the feedback. I'll look to make those changes right after I'm done with the background, which I'm currently working on. I hope to have both done tonight.
  2. Re: Critique My Metamorph Thanks to all of you for the feedback. I really appreciate the help with this character and there are a lot of good points being made. I'll Check with the GM about adding the Stretching and Damage Reduction powers into an EC. I'm not sure what the DC is standard for the game. Honestly, I didn't give that much thought. It does seem that he'd be a little weak offensively and vulnerable defensively. He currently does have Combat Luck, and I'm probably dropping the Damage Shield from the MP and adding Armor. Maybe something like this: Armor (10 PD/10 ED) (30 Active Points); Costs Endurance (Only Costs END to Activate; -1/4) Also, I like the idea of change the Reflexive Dodge to CLS. I actually like a lot of the suggestions. I just don't know where I'm getting the points for them is all.
  3. I'm looking to start playing in an established game soon and I would like some feedback on the character I've made. Although I used the Until superpowers database and the Champions source books for the power builds I'm uncertain about the overall quality of the character, as this is the first Hero game I'll be playing. I'm still working on the background, but essentially he's a shapeshifter that was grown in a lab using the genetic material of an unknown meta-human. He escaped and has been living on the streets of New York since. 4. Re: PBEM Submissions: NorCal Heroes! Are there still openings in this game, and if so does it matter that I'm new to playing Hero?
  5. Re: Silent Death Ship Conversions? I might be wrong, as it has been a few years since I've looked at my Silent Death stuff, but IIRC the lore of the game was so that capital ships were not an option. Something about an alien race that was awakened by conflict, so it was decided to keep things scaled down as not to re-awaken them...or something.
  6. Re: Wild West Hero I recently saw the movie Tombstone and may try and convince my brother, a fan of the movie as well, to play a western themed hero game. Sorry to hear you've been ill Seraphim. I hope you get well soon, and I look forward to hearing how your game went.
  7. Re: City of Heroes Based Campaign I think I saw a inactive campaign in Hero Central that was a City of Heroes campaign. I'm not sure how long it ran, or what caused it to become inactive. I'll have to take another look.
  8. Re: Everyamoeba skills climbing, breakfall, and disguise come to mind right away.
  9. Re: a Hero Idea Hmm, Maybe Absorbtion is the way to go. Thanks for the info.
  10. Re: a Hero Idea I was thinking the same thing. I'd also like to add Ranged to the Transfer, however the cost for any significant dice worth of Transfer with a return rate of 5 per 5 Minutes and Ranged starts to get rather steep. Thanks for the input.
  11. It's late. I'm sick, and I can't seem to sleep. I also have this hero idea tumbling around in my brain that I think is cool, but I don't even know if it's possible. The essence of the concept involves a character that has a multipower that he can't normally use. He also has an Endurance Reserve and a Transfer. The Transfer goes into his Endurance Reserve, and the Endurance Reserve is the only source of power for the Multipower. Oh and the Endurance Reserve starts at zero. So what do you think? Totally gimped design or as cool as my medicated head thinks? All criticism is appreciated.
  12. Re: Classing Naming: (this) and (that) Love & Hate Weal & Woe Fire & Ice (I believe there were a pair named this in DC comics) Agony & Ecstasy
  13. Re: Hooray for Newbies! why are you suddenly here? I have found Hero Designer to be a wonderful tool to help me make characters that eventually find flaws with and discard. But I'm sure that's just me.
  14. Re: Hooray for Newbies! why are you suddenly here? I've had a long time love for comics and RPG's, and especially comic based RPG's. I never got around to getting Hero System until recently though. Been playing the MMORPG City of Heroes, but find the system incredible frustrating with the restrictions to allowable powers. Decided to pick Hero System up and am glad I did. Now if I could just find people to game with.
