Alabama is mildly annoying at worst. Then again, I probably feel that way because OU always beats them (at least since 1963). I do like their color scheme. But the chest beating is irritating.

I don't mind the Huskers. There was never the pure animosity in that rivalry, looking forward to playing them again couple years from now. First OU game I went to was OU-Nebraska, really good time. The horns on the other hand are clearly the spawn of darkness.

Yeah, I'm familiar with the rationales behind the traditions like burying a dog where it can see the score of the game, and no female cheerleaders. It's just weird though. Nobody outside TAMU seems to understand it, but hey - whatever makes folks happy.

For myself, I don't hate TAMU. I think they are the weirdest cult like group I've seen in a college football fan base though. Pretty creepy. I get the army dress up thing, but what's up with the milk man? And "yell practice"? And that weird line up crotch grabbing thing? There's other stuff, but it's a family friendly board. Just weird, man.

Hey, OU is playing Army tomorrow. So I'll get to see the triple option on the field at an Oklahoma game after all.

Agreed, except for the implied criticism of student athletes in other institutions. There are individual examples, but that was not my experience. Was surprised at the level of academic commitment and clarity that virtually all of them (at Oklahoma mind you) were not going on to the NFL. Maybe a handful on a squad of 80 scholarships go pro, the rest were getting their school paid for and playing football.

Yeah, OU loves the run-pass option these days. It works, occasional ineligible lineman down field penalty or not, and you can achieve gaudy offensive stats with it and score a lot of points. Been waiting for the cycle of offense and defense strategy to return us to the Wishbone, but nothing so far.
