  1. Love that story. It's a really interesting and fresh take on the convention.
  2. Well, obviously they aren't going anywhere this year. I'm just kind of shocked to see them even have an article about playoff hopes in WEEK 14. That's fairly amazing, given historic context.
  3. Maybe I missed it, but you seem to have left Cleveland off your list. That's right. Cleveland. Who is not yet statistically eliminated at this point in the season. When was the last time that happened in week 14? 1987? https://www.dawgsbynature.com/2018/12/8/18132547/cleveland-browns-playoff-possibilities-week-14-edition
  4. Yeah, there's a reason my only social media platform is LinkedIn
  5. Boooooooomer. (I love Billy Sims, every time he just gets noisy in the fancy ass awards ceremony) Heisman Park in Norman is getting crowded. Lloth, I believe is a fan of Richmond as you indicate. Not much playoff motivation there. Baphomet cheers for Clemson (Tigers = beasts), Dagon likes Alabama (depths = Crimson Tide), and Kostchtchie the Fighting Irish (Wrath). Not sure who dad is rooting for these days, Graz'zt usually cheers for whoever is playing my team. We've got that kind of relationship. Anyway, demon lord association with storied franchises aside... today was a pretty fun day.
  6. ESPN has a lot of money invested in the $EC. Need to protect the investment. Network affiliation has a big impact on narrative. So, OU-Bama/Clemson-ND. It's official. I'd really enjoy an OU path to their 8th natty (we only count AP/BCS/CFP) that involved beating any 2 of those teams. Guess we will see if they can get much, much better on defense over the next month. The offense is fine, don't change a thing (oops, Marquis Brown just broke his foot). Bama favored by 14. Clemson by 11. Early betting is open. Stranger things have happened.
  7. The cool thing about criminal sentencing court documents, is that they are public record.
  8. Well, Oklahoma has a slightly better offense than Alabama at least. And a much worse defense. It's a tough match up, but I've heard that before about Alabama vs OU. We will see.
  9. Yeah, Georgia really gave that one away at the end. Thought they had it locked down.
  10. Final score OU 39, Texas 27. As it should be. 4th consecutive conference title, which is nice. They can put it on the pile with the others (last I checked OU had more Big XII titles than not just any other school, but all other schools, in football: 12 of 22). Now we see what that translates to in the post season.
  11. After all those Texas comments about Kyler Murray being too short That was a really good game though. Damn, couldn't believe my eyes when there was a safety. Was that defense? I can't remember.
  12. Halftime 20-14, good guys. Game so far is about what I expected, with the exception of OU struggling more on 3rd down than usual and more Texas penalties than usual.
  13. I want to know who they cast for Sparkington J. Northrup.
  14. Nerd Rage! Any true Blue Beetle movie faithful to the source material would start with Dan Garret! Boycott! (Nah, this seems cool)
  15. I keep saying that, because OU keeps winning. The 23-3 record under Lincoln Riley deprives me of righteous fury sufficient to bring down the walls of Greyhawk. It carries forward the mystic bindings of his predecessor (190-48, but a couple times I nearly broke free). A loss to Texas in the Big XII title might do it though.
  16. No question. The Flaeness would fall before my might.
  17. As as the God of Deceit, Pain, Oppression and Evil things that make me hate more only make me stronger.
  18. Just to point out the obvious: there is no "D" in "Oklahoma" or "West Virginia", or "Texas" either.
  19. Basketball game, I think, judging by the score. I'll take the win. On to the conference title game! And Happy Birthday to me. As to the Texas rematch...
  20. Meh, we pretty much own Dallas. Tons of Sooner fans there. Edit: just go be clear, none of the fans want this: This is the defense that produced Gerald McCoy, Dan Cody, the Selmon Brothers, Dusty Dvoracek, Brian Bosworth, the list goes on and on. It's physically painful to watch them be arguably (and statistically unquestionably) one of the worst defenses in college football.
