  1. Hex grids are just square grids with every other row offset by half a square.
  2. Jeez, Eagles. Tampa's defense isn't even particularly good.
  3. Xenophon's Anabasis (368 BCE) The Xylographic Treatises (1471) The X-Ray: Its Theory and Application (1896)
  4. The Vampyre (1819) The Voyage of the Beagle (1839)
  5. I'm not sure they should have shown the replay on the Higbee hit. Knees are not supposed to have that particular range of motion.
  6. The Murders in the Rue Morgue (1841) Moby Dick (1851)
  7. I doubt it, but it's still delicious to see him humiliated by his former team in the playoffs.
  8. Wasn't gonna watch football today but Dallas is losing at the moment and that's always nice to see.
  9. Frederik X becomes King of the Danes after Queen Margrethe self-deposes
  10. Gulliver's Travels (1726) Grimm's Fairy Tales (1822) The Epic of Gilgamesh (1732 BCE)
  11. As I am in Tua's hometown I'll probably listen to the game. I'd love to actually watch Football On Ice, but not enough to subscribe to yet another streaming service.
  12. 44-14 and there's still most of Q4 to play.
  13. Poor Flacco. He's better than this.
  14. Zipper closing, at range NT: Things that have been photographed
  15. I played one of those. It spoiled me with its controller design, which was capable of so much more than the Atari 8-way joystick with one button.
  16. Apparently Mayo's heir apparent status was written into his contract years in advance. Why the Patriots would do that I don't know, but some elements of Pats fandom are not thrilled when also-former-Patriot-with-actual-head-coaching-and-playoff-experience Mike Vrabel is right there.
  17. Hubby is wise. I'd bump the Neeners down a notch or two due to recent injury though. The Patriots have gone in house for their next HC, linebackers coach (and former player) Jerod Mayo.
  18. sigh You'll just have to let it go.
  19. The FAA has launched a formal investigation into the construction practices at Boeing and its subcontractors as they relate to all these recent incidents. This isn't going away any time soon. Maybe it'll force a culture change at Boeing corporate, but I doubt it.
  20. Yeah it's a glaring single point of failure. The Klingon spine concept is far superior.
