  1. Re: Harpoon and Tow Cable from The Empire Strikes Back My Star wars geek friend assures me that the walkers could have stood back up but it would have taken some time. Apparently there were even rules for it some where in the old West End games d6 Star Wars rpg.
  2. Re: Eyes up here, soldier! There's a character in one of our games with a similar "power" though its something she does allot more consciously. Its built as bonus Pre much like "Distracting Costume". The dice determine the effect but the player is free to determine the "color" of the reaction depending on their character's nature. It might be lecherous distraction or moral outrage or just a "What the-!?" reaction to being...flashed in the middle of a fight.
  3. Re: Invincible Thank you for the advice. It's given me some things to think about. I might have to reconsider some of my ideas. Posting Free Spirit has probably skewed some impression of our games. She's the -top- of the heap and more a flagship/legacy item than a PC and the creation of someone that enjoys higher power games than most of us. So scaling will be a definite consideration if I go through with this idea. Again, thanks, Bloodstone and everyone else that's posted.
  4. Re: Invincible FIST=Flight Invulnerability, Strength, ?
  5. Re: Invincible On thing that going to be harder to model in Hero is the Body damage (and death overall) is more common in this setting that Champions mechanics allows for. You'd have use some pretty high AP killing attacks to simulate some of this stuff or assume high damage rolls.
  6. Re: Invincible Thank you!
  7. Re: Invincible A "Worf" or being "Worfed" is when a powerful character is killed or severely injured usually with contemptuous ease just to demonstrate how powerful and dangerous the latest villain is. Bit of group slang though I think its seen wider use. Sorry.

  9. Re: Invincible Thanks. But I can't claim credit. FS is really old character. We run a collective campaign thats basically several games run in the same "universe". She's originated in one gm's universe when he was running a Golden Age game so have been functioning as hero for decades in game and a couple in real life and has become the setting's Superman analogue. The other PCs are much more "reasonable" and she's often "on a mission in space" or some such lately. We're considering a radiation accicdent to power her down or even a reboot or new game. Having her killed in Viltrumite invasion was tossed around but no one really wants to see her killed particularly if its a "Worf".

  11. Re: Invincible I didn't have a point total in mind for Invincible and his supporting cast. The characters were/are going to be guest stars for awhile for a "Viltrumite Invasion" meta plot.
  12. Re: Invincible I'm not entirely sure how you would even write that up....
  13. Re: Invincible Thanks!
  14. Re: Invincible Thank you! I searched the forum but nothing appliclable came up.
  15. Re: Invincible Looks like I'm on my own then. *shakes fist* Curse you people for not doing my work for me!
  16. Has anyone done character sheets for the cast of the Invincible series in Champions?
  17. Re: Alternate realities aside from Multifaria? Stupid question: What's Multifaria?
  18. The character's normal form is visibly inhuman. It is imporant that she keep this hidden because nonhumans aren't accepted or even known in the setting so her appearance would cause great alarm. Fortunately, she is a shapeshifter and can ape a human appearance. The drawback is that holding this form takes effort. She's practiced it enough over the years that its not a great strain. It doesn't cost endurance. but keeping it up is a little distracting, like focusing on keeping a muscle tensed or maintaining strict posture. If she is startled, extremely emotionally distraught or has to focus intently on something else (like intense combat) she regains her normal appearance. Would Accidental Change be a good way to represent this? It is similar to the movie version of Mystique's problem.
  19. Re: Super hero one liners Knighthawk, confronting a mimic type villain "Hope you're not as tough as I look..."
  20. Re: Flash Mob We had a Speedster character in one of our games with Side Effect limitation on several of her Powers (Extra Runnng, Speed, etc) that shredded her costume (which was the focus for some of her abilities). It varied if she was still "comics code approved" after doing that or not.
  21. Re: Flash Mob My thought was that most of the character's powers would have some form of Physical Manifestation (the pseudo Duplicates) Limitation.
  22. Re: My first supervillain gang. Growth and or Density Increase with a Components Limitation maye? Drawing the metal to him can be a special effect or he might also have a Transfer to his Strength, Body or powers that can only target metals. He could also have allot of Armor/Resistant defense tied into his metal form. If he has sharp edges, Hand to Hand Killing Attack wouldn't be out of the question. I know its a cliched name but "Thunderhawk"?
  23. Re: Flash Mob Oh, okay I gotcha I think. You'd need Indirect to bypass barriers, right?
