  1. Re: Quote of the Week From My Life. After my nearly 7 year-old daughter expressed frustration at having an older brother and wishing she had a twin sister... Me: "It's a little too late to have a twin." Megan: "Unless we make a robot!" She is developing her supervillainous mindset well...
  2. Re: City of Heroes - Online Hero Game This particular issue bugs me in an entirely different way. I find it rather disgusting that anyone thinks that simply because their first character had a given name on one server, that no one should be able to play a character with that name on _any_ server. What is the objective of having more than one server if people are going to camp the same name on every server?
  3. Re: City of Heroes - Online Hero Game I play off-and-on on Virtue. I like the gameplay more than Champions online, and I like the graphics style a _lot_ better than CO. Which is kinda sad, as I got a lifetime subscription on Champions Online. If you were a subscriber and go free-to-play, you lose access to most of your characters ( You get to choose which ones you keep, or just choose empty slots and start new characters. They don't go away, they are just greyed out until you unlock more character slots. ). Depending on how long you've been subscribed, you might lose access to some archetypes and any characters that have those archetypes. And if you had an Incarnate character, you lose access to their Incarnate powers. But beyond that, you keep everything.

  6. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... I'm horrible at remembering to write down quotes. Only if someone mentions that it should be written down does anything generally get noted... Valour - Sentient emotion made manifest. Dr. Mystic - Dr. Strange style mystic styled after the Venture Brothers' Dr. Orpheus. Caius - Earth elementalist detective. Sephiroth - Qabbalistic magus. Me, the GM. Discussing how to deal with a someone whose help they need that they just learned is a criminal of some special talent. Dr. Mystic: We could citizen's arrest him, or we could just "hero" him... ... ... into the ground. Caius: I like how "hero" has been verbed... Caius: You could tell him that if he is deceitful, he will be "heroed". Resting up for an early morning to come... Caius: I'm going to go take a dirt nap. Fighting a dangerous criminal who happens to be a 90+ year old little lady with a walker and a mumu who mystically controls yarn and knits mind-controlling clothing. Valour: "Good, we won't be accused of attacking a little old lady because her yarn is attacking the stones." Me, OOC: "It's a tuque. It tuque over his mind."

  8. Re: Magic powered robot with changeable weaponry The easiest way to do this... Concealment 18-, Only for 'equipped' weapons. And an Aid to equipped weapon's Charges, costs END.
  9. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... So, what else _is_ in the Bermuda Triangle anyway... besides Luchadores. I don't need 100 virgins, I got a horse.
  10. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Unless the other person is also a brick...
  11. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Yup. My question is... the GM gave combat luck to meteroic metal plated robots? Doesn't that seem excessive?
  12. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...
  13. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... While I'm sure there were more, this is the only one I remembered to write down: Valour (OOC): I keep forgetting I can say things out loud.
  14. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... From our Mystics game 2 weeks ago... Patches: Sorry, there's not a lot of demand for a multi-lingual zombie. You're not going to see any of us walking around going, "... cabeeeeeza ..."
  15. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... An OOC comment from our Epic level D&D game last night... "If we abuse the plane once more, when we go back the Kobalds will have nukes."
