Re: Exploding Dice Just take one dice, no matter how many sixes you've rolled. If you're roll another six with that dice, re roll that dice again and add the results. For example: You roll a 1,3,3,5,6, you re roll the six. You roll a 1,3,6,6,2, you re roll one of the sixes. So you can increase some results, but keep them on a reasonable level. Re: Zweihander Sword Art The problem is, there are many styles to fight with an "Zweihänder". 1st: The classic style. Both hands on the grip and then let it roll ^^. Perfect to keep your enemy at distance, but youre very fast exhaustet and you can´t dodge or parry very well. And a quick opponent can come close and kill you. (+1 OCV/-2 DCV +2 Dmg Class) 2nd: One hand on grip, one on the knob. Just fighting like you´ve got an 1 1/2 hand sword. 3rd: One hand on grip, one hand on the "false sharpness" (The part of the sword over the parry thing...sorry, i dont know the english term for it ). Sword is held over the head. In this way you can easily sting someone and can parry more easily. (-1 OCV/ +2 DCV) That are my suggestions... Wulfi

Re: "This is such fine cloth....." I would say the clotes are visible to persons with a high Ego ("High" is the GMs choice. In a 100 / 50 campaign i would say Ego 18 or 20). But if seen, the clothes gives a +10 on presence for the wearer. Beautiful and impressing clothes, I would say. Wulfi

Re: Equipment Mostly the GM decides how to buy equipment. I prefer the money / logical way. I coose the tnigs, that my char gonna have to and the GM has to approve ore cut things out. A barbarian from the northern lands / background farmer usually dont have any magic items from the beginning in a classical fantasy setting. Neither most of the non magicians have some. But you can find magic items all over the world and in the stomachs of goblins *g* Wulfi after 14 H of working

Re: Rivalry Disadvantage in Star Hero The problem for my char is solved. I can spend 10 points and buy down the rivalry. But I learned, that it is hard to find disadvatages for your character, if you have to and with some logic. I dont want to play a char with more psych. limitations that Freud would get a nervous breakdown... Wulfi

So the landlord arrange a fight in a near forest. But, is the attack real or fake and the attackers try to kidnap the daughter ? Wulfi, one for the road

Re: Quick and dirty campaign settings Sometimes for this I think of some adventures I want to play and the genre. A high fantasy, sword & sorcery ...... Then i create the world, or a low shot background with deitis and demons. Mostly very simple like an panthoen of ten unnamed gods or sth. So, in the game I can figure out names and alignment and the rest, like temples and the feudal system. The region gets a name with some cities. Thats it ! Once I created an adventure in a new region which no one knew. The PCs in a tavern knowing each other (They had to tell me, why did they know each other...). They all came frome the great city in the north. (Sometimes they need a name for it). Then the adventure began. Wulfi, hope thats not too far from the topic

Re: Rivalry Disadvantage in Star Hero Thanks for the welcomes *g* All PC already have complete characters, so the option with the "PC as the rival" is out :-( I think it should be an bitter rivalry with bad-mouth stuff and kind like this. Hi Its my first post here so please don´t throw rocks on me For Star Hero I want to have an special rivalry for my smuggler. Another Smuggler. Rivalry is professional, rival is more powerful and seek to embarass or humiliate my character. Rival is aware of rivalry (10pts.)*g* This rivalry should be a long one. Both of us were in the same pilot training and he was always better than my character, he dated the girls and alway makes fun of my char. Some stuff like that. So my question is: Are here more creative people like me, who got new or better ideas for this rivalry ? Wulfi, this is the last sentence
