    Denied the purchase of my own archers, I was in desperate need of someone with range attacks (Sure, Mary Marvel can shazam some lightning but that's risky for her) and so Firebird filled the 'blaster' niche.

    A fair gripe and observation... I think in my head canon I rationalized it as Billy as Billy feels when he's not super powered he needs to be more responsible and leader like, oddly when in his super powered form, he may feel he doesn't have to make the extra effort. It could even be  the influence of the Wisdom of Solomon ("Solo Man!") , in that as a regular teen he WANTS to be seen as an adult, but with the Wisdom of Solomon, he has more confidence to still joke around. To quote CS Lewis

    “When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”

     

     

    But I admit that's a stretch 😮

    I came this close to getting Dr. Destroyer instead, but I remembered the Young Justice TV show and the Light's "mission" and realized Queen Bee and Evelyn had common ground.

     

    EDIT: Not sure if it helps, but I did not know you were eyeing Queen Bee yourself

    "Thanks to your resources, it was pretty easy," Evelyn answered with a shrug. She was as casual as her sponsor and partner was elegant but both were ruthless as they needed to be.

    "Excellent," The regal ruler before her smiled, "Vegas really is an ideal testing ground ... and as promised, even if this starts to sour, you'll have sanctuary in my country. I can always use a woman of your genius after all."

    "What can I say? The Light's goals, of freeing mankind from superheroic coddling align really well with my own," Evelyn admitted, with passion she couldn't contain, "It's going to hurt a bit, but omelet, eggs, a bit of flesh to remove a cancer... pick your metaphor."

    Saw League of Superpets, and you know, I didn't hate Black Adam, but I really liked Dwayne The Rock Johnson better as Krypto. A kid's movie with surprising heart. The real stand out was Kevin Hart as Ace who did the somber moments quite skillfully. And yes, Keanu Reeves is Batman

     

    I also saw Shazam: Fury of the Gods. It is not as good as the first one, but I enjoyed it, perhaps because I was expecting it to be really bad and it wasn't ? I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10.
