Some important things to note in relation to the above.

    1. The number of triangular faces on any OBJ model for TTS should be less than 30,000. For ideal performance the lower the better whilst remaining acceptable.

    2. The above process will not produce a coloured model. If you wish to "paint" the model you can use this tutorial to learn how: -

3: Then you will need to export the texture you have created and apply it to the model you have in Tabletop simulator.

For those who seek further help I should explain I use a different painting tool called 3dcoat which is not free (around $100 for the basic version and $300 for the full product).

Here are a set of instructions that I found when doing a search on the net.  I tried this with a sample character that Hero Forge lets anyone download and it seems to work.  Still need to learn how to paint the mini 😉.  As a reminder these are not my instructions.

Oh it is possible to learn. Depending on your time and budget.

Simple answer .. use hero forge (pay the £8 for each figure) .. make a model you want .. and then "colour" it yourself and import to game. That simplifies it somewhat but is basically the procedure.

More complex answer, learn to sculpt yourself .. blender is free, with a zillion tutorials. But it takes a lot of time and skill to sculpt characters.

Here are a couple of examples of my work.

Combat Tutorial is released and in HD now.

Any comments are welcome here or on the Discord. The next video should be how to use the miniature HUD on each figure.

@Brian Stanfield Well as it is almost midnight here, I will hope a reviewer check's and releases while I am asleep. If still not when I wake, I will re-upload with the far more boring Tutorial 3 as the title.

You should pop by the Discord sometime, I would be happy to give you a tour of the work. Especially as the price of TTS at the moment is so cheap.

One person can play multiple characters (using multiple "controllers" .. so in many ways like the GM sees all the time with multiple NPC's on his screen, the player would have multiple PC's on his screen. I wrote it that way for my Golden Age campaign, with Sidekicks etc. In theory a player could have any proportion of the 30 potential controllers he can handle on screen at a time.

It also is handy for a player who wants a vehicle etc (although have to admin I have not done vehicle support yet!)

Also for clarity .. the half pack was a 4 for the price of 3 deal before the 50% reduction. So now it comes out at 4 for the price of 1.5!!

I play my games in one night online. Even better, if we don't finish I save the game and it remembers the state so we start at exactly the same position when we come back to it.

5th edition support is underway, there is a custom 5th edition exporter template. Please be aware is requires testing but seems functional.

    Current 5th status.

Comliness is in the data file but is not visible in the mod (need to change combat record layout to fit in it)
ECV is lurking under the name MCV currently but is the ECV you are seeking.
Movement and distances in inches are supported, but I am certain there will be some gotcha's down the line.

Please try the new exporter below and PM me the results if there is an issue.

BE AWARE THIS IS VERY BETA .. try it and help it get better by finding problems.

There are three levels in the Hero System Mod for TTS

Level 1. Roll Dice in the game by picking them up and throwing them (it is a physics based environment) .. character sheets can be kept in or out of game at this point, use discord or TTS for voice. This is pretty simple but does need everyone to own a copy of TTS
Level 2. Use the built in dice roller in the game .. it adds body and stun and can cover most dice situations. Use character sheets with models in the game on the hex grid.
Level 3. Use the completely automated rolling solution after importing your character from hero designer. Use the Turn manager to control when people take turns basically let the computer do the tough bits and click a few buttons to play. Complexity comes from importing the hero designer sheets.

You can choose which ever level suits you or your players

Attached is an example JSON export from Hero Designer. For those interested in how the export is constructed. It is a text file so can be edited with Notepad etc.

In addition there is a basic Export Template for Hero Designer. It is not the final format that will be released with the Mod, but it is close. If anyone wishes to help, please use the Export temptare on 6e characters and PM me the results so I can if any characters cause problems. It should produce the JSON files like the one above, however the more people who try it and give me the results the better it will be at reading characters.

If anyone wishes to help, I have some data entry for charts and tables requirements. If you don't mind entering data into spreadsheets to help it would appreciated. Please PM me if you wish to help

As we approaching the release of the Mod I thought breaking off a new topic focused on the Mod itself would be wise.
