  1. Re: Pulp great passes Found one! http://www.mortmeskin.com/influences/cartier/cartier.html
  2. Re: Pulp great passes After I saw this a day or so ago, I went looking for a Cartier gallery online. There are galleries for other pulp artists online, so I thought there would be one for him. Unfortunately, I could not find one. Anyone know if such an animal exists?
  3. Re: Pulping the Renaissance There was a book a few years ago entitled Ariosto Furioso by Chelsea QuinnYarbro, that dealt with the poet of Orlando Furioso, one Ludovicio Ariosto. There is a lot of fantasy elements in it, but as I recall (from over 25 years ago), that it was a pretty good read, and may be helpful
  4. Re: A new page of pulp resources The address for the Pulp Project 1557 page is old. It has since moved from seedwiki to wetpaint, http://project1557.wetpaint.com/ Anyway to get this corrected?
  5. Re: Tramp Steamers crew. Spence, If this is any indication of the work you do, please by all means, let me know when you are ready to port this stuff over to Project 1557! This is the kind of information that is needed! If you need help, let me know and I'll get the article in place. Please don't forget me! Thanks
  6. Re: Tramp Steamers crew. Thanks! Here is the link to the specific page: http://project1557.wetpaint.com/page/Tramp+Steamers I would, also, love to incorporate Spence's information elsewhere in the wiki, as it does seem appropos.
  7. Re: Tramp Steamers crew. Ian, would you mind if I adapted this information to the Pulp Project 1557 wiki's page on Tramp Steamers? I would of course give you proper credit....
  8. Re: Elementary, My Dear Watson Thank you for echoing what I have said within my circle of friends for a number of years. Too many times, we have seen the Nigel Bruce interpretation of Watson portrayed. I for one would love to see a confident, intelligent, competent assistant to the great Consulting Detective....
  9. Re: Images of Lost Cities I had the opportunity to visit England a few years ago and saw a section of Hadrian's Wall from around 100 AD. Then about three years ago, my wife and I visited Athens, Corinth, Patmos, and the sites of five out of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Really made me reevaluate the meaning of the word 'old.':jawdrop:
  10. Re: Pulp Rocket deck plan Very nice! This would be just the thing to help round out the Pulp Project 1557 Section on Space Opera. Would you mind posting it (or a link) there? Thanks!
  11. Re: Pulp Hero Resources Here you go:
  12. Re: Pulp New York City You might even check the New York City page of the Pulp Project 1557 wiki. I'll admit that its not as complete as I'd like, but contributors are always welcome...

  14. Re: New scientific discovery? The backbone of pulp... OddHat, I've been looking for something to help fill in the Pulp Science section of the Pulp Project 1557 wiki. This would be a nice summary, as well as all the other discussion on radium and other 'scientific' advances available...
  15. Berin "Uncle Bear" Kinsman's GrizzlyWiki is now featuring a section for a Pulp City Wiki. The goal is to provide "A modular set of resources for any Pulp genre game that can be integrated into an existing city or used to build a custom city." The main page can be found here.
  16. Re: Hey Rube! Circuses in Pulp Hero. Let me also recommend the film version of Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983)
  17. Apparently there is a project to map the entire Valley of the Kings.... I've added a link to the site at the Pulp 1557 wiki. The mapping project can be found here
  18. Re: What are your favourite Pulp cities? Awesome! Anyone Else? Thanks! Hank
  19. Re: What are your favourite Pulp cities? At the Pulp Project 1557 wiki, I am currently trying to provide simple writeups for real-world and fictional pulp cities. Go to the Pulp Cities page and select the one you might be interested in providing detail for. I have provided a simple format on each one, so as to make adding information easier. Check out the New York City page and the San Francisco page to get an idea of what I'm looking for. If you want to write a longer article on any of the subject headings, just create a new page for it, linking it to the main page. You will need to register (for free) with wet paint to begin editing the page, but it really is easy to edit at this wiki. Please contribute! I would love for this to be one of the major sources of pulp-themed gaming information available! Thanks! Hank
  20. Re: Flash Gordon Series News You want evil? Try Jonathan Pryce in Something Wicked This Way Comes

  24. Re: What are your favourite Pulp cities? San Francisco -- excellent blending of Old West, New Era and with a Chinatown! New Orleans (I've been printing off a copy of the Federal Writers' Project Guide to New Orleans [a pdf from Internet Archive] -- Good Stuff)
