  1. I just found Panda and Raccoon. 2 x Stun and Body from bullets???? Seriously?
  2. Forgotten Enemies? Not sure if I have that one.
  3. The eye enhances anyone's powers/ stats. Can you imagine Grond or Firewing with enhanced powers?
  4. Thank you so much. I was searching in pre 6th edition. No wonder I couldn't find it.
  5. I could swear there was a villain out there in the Champions Universe that could change into a dragon. Am I wrong? If I am right, which book are they in?
  6. For those that have been here a while, you probably heard of The Great Super Villain Contest. It was one of the first Adventure supplements for champions. I thought it was pretty good (considering how small it was), but it got me to thinking. Now that we have TONS of villains to choose from. Who would you include in the contest? For example, I would use Herculan from Conquerors, Killers, and Crooks. He loves to fight and love to challenge others. He'd probably care less about the prize (sorry no spoilers). He'd be in it JUST to challenge the heroes. So, use any book. (just be sure and say which book they are in) and let me know who'd you put in the contest if it were run today.
  7. I've settled on 75 points which is what 6th edition uses. Thanks everyone for the advice
  8. I'm thinking about being a GM and will be using 5th edition (hence "disadvantages" instead of "complications") Now, I want the heroes to be 350 points total, but have always thought 150 points of disads was too much. I won't go over 100 or under 60. I want the players to pick disads that I will probably use against them. So, in your opinion, what is the "perfect " amount of disads for starting characters?

I like the idea of capturing an NPC hero. And the registry idea may work as a filler episode that is connected to TGSVC. They can use it to find high point heroes that they can defeat Besides Ankylasaur, who else would you have in the contest?

I've got to admit, that is one of the reasons I disliked The Coriolis effect. Not only did it sound like the heroes were not the center of attention. they are also kidnapped and their powers are taken away Plus, I GM online for years and not once have I made an impossible situation. The heroes are to win. I like the concept of The Great Super Villain Contest, but will probably give them a chance to figure a way inside the complex without resorting to capturing.

    GM advice

I have just read the great super villain contest. I really liked it, except the part where it suggests the players play the villain at the 3rd act. I'd probably give them a chance to thwart the contest. And granted, it suggests using a bank robbery as one of the ways to draw out the heroes. But at least the motivation would be different. Now I just need ideas for smaller "filler" ideas between getting attacked. I also will probably be using Ankylasaur as one of the contestants

That's not a bad idea, but do you think that Anarchy as a group would be too powerful for 3 heroes?

Probably separate. Small success in the background but nothing major I have San Angelo enemies and conquerors, killers and crooks. I'd like to include at least one super villain. 2 or 3 heroes. (Depending on who can play that day) Who would you choose that's not in Battlegrounds?

    GM advice

Hey fellow champions I'm considering being the GM for our face to face group game. I'm thinking of doing Champions Battlegrounds But I want something that could lead up to Battlegrounds. The characters have not been made yet. They will be beginning characters, for 5th edition, 350 total points So, what would you suggest? A bank robbery sounds too cliche. I'm hoping for something that could use skills.
  15. Never heard of it. I may have to look into it
  16. I like that idea A comic fable?
  17. I'm thinking that some magic may become a Ego vs Ego roll. So a person will great willpower could overcome the effects of magic.
  18. I am considering making a heroic game based in the fairy tale world. Players can choose almost any literary character before the 1940s So, the could play anything from Frankenstein's monster to Jack, from Jack and the beanstalk. But that means that there will be magic. I will use the adage that all magic comes with a price. For example, Merlin ages every time he does a spell. He's really in his 20s, but looks like he's in his 80s. Question 1. Who would you like your character to meet? Question 2. What are some common archetypes (besides pirate, knight, princess, or thief)? Question 3. How else can I make this balanced between magical beings and heroic characters?
  19. Sometimes we play Saturday morning (every other week)
  20. In your opinion, what is the easiest to learn system game? Something perfect for beginners.
  21. Thanks. But the player decided on boxing instead
  22. Mixed Martial Arts is becoming very popular. Lots of cage fights, punches, kicks, and pins. But I really don't want to pick and choose. So which Martial Arts Package do you think fits the Mixed Martial Arts fighting style?
