  1. Ask Robotboy where he's going with her and fry his circuits if he tries any funny business.
  2. On Smallville, Clark and Lana broke up and got back together so many times I've lost count and she's still the baddies' favorite girl hostage regardless. Hell, she even ended up getting cocooned by Bugboy back when she was still seeing Witless...er...Whitney.
  3. Assure him of my silence and secretly keep an eye on him from now on.
  4. Since Villain A goaded Villain B into the fight by threatening the life of B's girlfriend, I'd say that speaks volumes about what a sleaze A is and makes B seem to be the more honorable of the two in the comparision. So I'll be rooting for Villain B to give Villain A the asskicking he richly deserves.
  5. Cybernaut: My signature character would agree to help in exchange for some, shall we say, "store credit." As a powered armor user, not to mention one who built his himself, Cybernaut would know a thing or two about PA suit systems and may be able to shut Artemis down without hurting her.
  6. Perhaps this is what you were asking for: Air Taser: EB 6d6, NND (Force Field/Power Defence; +1), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2), (75 Active Points), OAF (-1), Real Weapon (-1/4), STR Minimum (4 STR Doesn't Add/Subtract Damage; -3/4), No Range (-1/2) Cost: 21 points Plus Ranged (+1/2) for EB NND (25 Active Points), OAF (-1), Limited Range (-1/4), 1 Recoverable Charge (-1 1/4) Cost: 7 points Total cost: 28 points This write-up represents the kind that has back up electrodes so you can still use the taser in nonranged combat after you've discharged the main leads.
  7. Q: What are the ingredients in Nar-Cola? A: You know, that didn't quite work out the way I expected it to.
  8. If you can get a copy of Hero System Almanac I, you could use the Spirit Rules therein with a few minor modifications to bring them up to date.
  9. Good idea: Offering to help with security at the local PRIMUS office. Bad idea: Offering to help with security at the local VIPER nest. -------- Good idea: Dressing up as your character for a Halloween party. Bad idea: Dressing up as your character for a job interview.
  10. Worst Idea: Daring the bad guys to shoot the gas tank.
  11. Sounds good, I look forward to seeing it in print.
  12. It's time for another Champions Good Idea/Bad Idea... Good Idea: Having a powered armor suit, whether defined as OIF or OIHID. Bad Idea: Having no useful abilities outside of the suit. Worse Idea: Wearing nothing underneath but your skivies the one time the bad guys manage to strip it off you.
  13. Jumbo saltwater aquarium, ideal for 6 sharks. Complete with trap door, chute, and a 1 month supply of Purina Shark Chow. Will take best offer.
  14. For Sale Cybernaut Mk-I battlesuit for sale. Has been in disrepair since I abandoned it for the Mk-II, great weekend fix-er-up project. All serious offers considered.
  15. Q: Dude, was that Wonder Woman that just beat the crap out of you? A: "Damnit, I should have known that rotten SOB was behind all this!"
  16. I agree. Talk to the player in private, lay everything out for him in no uncertain terms, and if he's not contrite tell him to take a hike.
  17. Q: Have you seen the Williams sisters' new pet? A: "Yes, our contact can get us the documents, but only if we can guarantee her safety."
  18. That's very true, though I do at least try to give my characters the kind of personalities and attitudes I believe they should logically have.
  19. Net: Entangle, possibly a 1 Hex AoE, doesn't protect entangled character, OAF, 1 recoverable charge, other limitations to taste. Lasso: Multipower with Stretching, Swinging, and an Entangle.
  20. Not necessarily game related, but I have been writing a couple of short stories about angels and demons masquerading as people in the modern world. I'm just now putting the polish on the second installment, titled "Vortex". Trebuchet's recently read the first story and said I had an interesting take on things, though I will hardly presume to say my works of fiction are completely consistent with traditional protrayal of such beings.
  21. A: What nickname does Freddy have for the guy from Hellraiser? Q: "Forget it, I'm getting the hell out of here."
  22. Q: Name three guys who have been banned for life from the hotest club in the Marches? A: No way, dude, get your own.
  23. Unless it's a substantial part of their character concept, the religious aspect either doesn't come up or is just an interresting footnote somewhere in their dossier. If religion does come up in a campaign I try to treat the subject as evenhandedly as possible since I've gamed with people from a wide range of backgrounds. Same rule applies to politics.
  24. Luck that costs END? So, can your players push their Luck?
