Psybolt got a reaction from Michael Hopcroft in All New EYG Hall of Fame Cinema Wing
Here is my full write up of the new wing:
https://embraceyourgeeknesseyg.com/2023/11/12/eyg-hall-of-fame-cinema-wing/
Throughout the year, I induct worthy nominees into the Embrace Your Geekness Hall of Fame. Whether it be the regular vote on the ballot by the EYG Nation, the Legends nominees, the Comic Issue Wing or special inductees, the EYG Hall of Fame is very active.
I decided that it was time to open a new wing of the EYG Hall of Fame. One of the biggest ‘geeks’ that many people have is movies. There are some movies that have made it into the EYG Hall of Fame, but I have always felt like there had not been enough considering how many amazing movies there have been over the years.
This first class of the EYG Cinema Wing are as follows:
1920: Nosferatu (1922)
1930: King Kong (1933)
1940: Citizen Kane (1941)
1950: Seven Samurai (1954)
1960: Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
1970: The Godfather (1972)
1980: Blade Runner (1982)
1990: Silence of the Lambs (1991)
Aughts: Psycho (1960)
Death Tribble was invaluable in his work in accomplishing this class of films. He provided lists for each decade of films (which was an idea that he suggested) and helped provide info and facts about the films. Then the two of us discussed which films should be dropped, leading to our final choices. I thank him for all of his work and effort in this venture.
I plan on continuing with the Cinema Wing around the start of summer movie season (probably early May). How that will look is still up in the air, but I am pleased with how this came out.
The films that have already been inducted into the EYG HoF are as follows: The Princess Bride, Star wars: A New Hope, Ghostbusters, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Planet of the Apes (1968), Marvel’s The Avengers, Back to the Future, The Terminator, The Empire Strikes Back, Jaws, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Wizard of Oz, Marvel’s Black Panther, Die Hard, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Return of the Jedi, and Jurassic Park.

Psybolt got a reaction from Pariah in Impromptu Superdraft II
Scully had found her way to the lobby of the Great Northern. After having a wonderful cherry pie, something she did not know that she needed, she was not ready for the arrival of the owner of the hotel.
"Welcome to the Great Northern! I am Leland Owlsley. What brings such a lovely young lady to the city of Twin Peaks?"
The man's hair stood up and his flowing green cloak made him very Owlish, but Scully could tell that he was not what he seemed. Pulling out her ID, she held it toward the man's face. Owlsley recoiled in what seemed to be disgust.
"Oh, my..." Owlsley said. "So, we have, yet another, lovely FBI agent joining us."
"Where is Agent Starling?"
"Dana!" Agent Clarice Starling came up to Scully with another man, dressed in sheriff's attire. "I'm glad you were able to join us here. Let me introduce the Twin Peaks Sheriff, Sheriff Sirius Black,"

Sheriff Black needs a deputy. On Twin Peaks, Andy was a comedic deputy. I think we need one of those.
Wild Card: Hugo "Hurley" Reyes (LOST)

Ding Ding
Agent Dana Scully pushed the glass door into the Double R Diner, looking around through her sunglasses. The air was fresh. The scent of pine filled the air. It was not like Washington, D.C., from where she had just spent several days departing from. She glanced around the quaint coffee shop, feeling a touch lost.
"Welcome to the Double R Diner. I am Norma. Could I bring you a cup of coffee?"
"Actually, I am Special Agent Dana Scully of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I need directions to the local hotel, the..." Scully paused to look at her notes, "Great Northern Hotel."
"FBI?" said Norma. "Then you absolutely need to have a cup of coffee. And let me bring you a piece of our cherry pie."
Norma turned immediately and went to the kitchen.
"Wait...I..."
Scully was too late. Realizing that she was going to have to sample the local cuisine, she took a seat at the counter. Scully pulled out her laptop and began typing some notes.
I have arrived at Twin Peaks, Washington. I received a call from Agent Starling, a fellow agent I've worked with a few other times, hoping that I could bring my knowledge from the X-Files to this case. Although it is actually my normal partner who has the expertise for this case, but he was unavailable. Agent Starling did make mention of a killing that sparked my interest.
March, 1986, Hawkins, Indiana. Several high school aged children were killed in a short stretch of time in very gruesome manners. Arms and legs bent and broken in a terrible contortion. Several victims appeared, but, as quickly as they appeared, it stopped. I had to dive deep into the X-Files to find the references to this case.
Agent Starling claims that the killing have begun again in Twin Peaks.
"Here you go, Agent Scully," said Norma, setting the cherry pie in front of the red-headed agent, "Every FBI agent who has ever come through here has raved about our cherry pie." Norma pours out a cup of hot coffee before Scully, who stares with a disbelief at the oddity of the situation.
"How many FBI agents have come to Twin Peaks?" she asked.
"Oh, there have been a few," said Norma. "I can direct you to the Great Northern as soon as you are ready."
"Thank you," said Scully, taking a bite of the pie up onto her fork. As she closes her mouth around the cherry goodness, a sly smile crosses her face and her eyes bulged with the treat. "That is one damn fine piece of pie."
"I've heard that before," said Norma.
