proditor
Heh, I wouldn't have my Avatar or nick if it weren't for V&V.
Enforcer84
Nothing like converting all of V&V to hero...loads o' fun.
Guest joen00b
As soon as my friend figured out the whole Champions system back in '82, V&V hit the shelf and never got off the shelf. To be completely honest, I don't even remember what the stats for the game were, I just remember there being math with tons of decimals to create damage and figure out movement. It was a lot more trouble than it was worth, as I recall. Champions was slick, hip, had better artwork, and a streamlined system. Don't get me wrong, I'll never forget V&V, but then again, I'll never play it either /shrug.
Redmenace
At the time it came out V&V seemed amazingly fresh. In all fairness everything about hero seemed to be done better. Good memories but the only reason I still have any V&V stuff is to translate to Hero. Do miss Jeff Dee's artwork
AnotherSkip
Yeah Jeff is up to his eyebrows in work, he's at the Living Legends website and has a ton of stuff he has done. Hey if the art sold the game i can't blame them for either way! besides it hasn't flipping been really fully supported in years. but if you need stuff they are still selling it at the FGU site. wild. As lemming can attest, something like 97% of my counters are from V&V! Those were the best professionally produced superhero genre drawings for counters I've seen. AnotherSkip
IIRC actually at that link there is a guy who designs counters to that same level of accuracy and detail. Im planning on getting him to do my 10,000 monkies as soon as i get rich.....
ChuckB
The math got a little out of hand , but V&V had some of the best adventure modules , "Crisis At Crusader Citadel" , "Death Duel With The Destroyers" and the "Island Of Doctor Apocalypse" were fantastic.
