Kara Zor-El
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER You're asking in the NGD if this is odd... Sorry to see you lost a little bit of brainpower fighting all that computer crap. Good to see you back, anyway! As we can. Puter's still slow and can't get our e-mail workin' at all. We get occasional freezes, too. On other fronts, the weather here has been terrible the last two days, as well. (Yes, the pun was intentional. ) Consequently, there's a very real threat of power loss. Good times. lol

Tim
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER What is Roman for 500? I know M is 1000 and C is 100 but have forgotten 500. The reason I ask is that they have a MO state flag painted on the wall in a local resturant. On the state flag it gives the year of incorporation in Roman numerals. The painting reads MOCCCXX (for 1820) and I know O is wrong.

Tim
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Trip to the Clinic A client recently brought her two cats in to my husband's veterinary clinic for their annual checkup. One was a small-framed, round tiger-striped tabby, while the other was a long, sleek black cat. She watched closely as I put each on the scale. "They weigh about the same," I told her. "That proves it!" she exclaimed. "Black does make you look slimmer. And stripes make you look fat." [borrowed from Reader's Digest.]
Old Man
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER D D is 500. L is 50. You can google for any # in roman numerals, just type "1999 in roman numerals" (without the quotes) and the Almighty Google will bestow its wisdom upon you. zornwil
