L. Marcus
It's an English-Latin pun on the phrase "Tu quque, Brute?"
Cancer
"Brute" is the traditional nickname for the coxswains on crew teams (especially the men's varsity eights, where the disparity in sizes is most exaggerated).

Cancer
In a monumental development, the class is so large (13! 12 entering freshman physics majors plus one 1 non-freshman transfer!) that I had to ask for a room change! Physics' little seminar/study room is just too small for that group. tkdguy

Pariah
In tomorrow's (technically, later today's) ACT Prep class, we're discussing the use of Process of Elimination in finding the correct answer to a question. I'm giving them this question as an example:--Arthur’s research group has determined that if a woman weighs the same as a duck, then she must be made of wood and is therefore a witch. Cassandra, who is suspected of being a witch, is weighed on a scale. Her mass is 50.0 kg. A mallard duck (Anas platyrhynchos) is weighed on the same scale, and its mass is 1.25 kg. Is Cassandra a witch? A. Yes, because she weighs the same as a duck.B. No, because she weighs the same as a duck.C. Yes, because she does not weigh the same as a duck.D. No, because she does not weigh the same as a duck. Which of these answers can we immediately eliminate? Based on what’s left, what is the correct answer? Cancer
What is the accuracy of the scale? Are 50.0 and 1.25 kg different at that precision?
