nexus
I have a character thats been subjected to the old "Hoist and Heave" a few times where a brick picks you up and tosses you and the rest of his team play Skeet Shoot. I'm trying to come up with a good power to retain at least a little DCV in that situation via the sfx of incredible dodging. I just can't quite the powers I need right. Any suggstions? Captain Xenon
Re: "Pull!" acrobatics skill comes to mind. Also Martial Escape to avoid the throw in the first place. Breakfall for when you land. other than that, you need some kind of flight, or even gliding, so you can control your movement after being thrown. Best way to find a solution? Do the same thing to the villans, and watch how the GM responds.
freakboy6117
Re: "Pull!" why not buy some armour with that SFX instead of the DCV. wouldnt you jsut be able to buy soemetra dcv in generaland you shoudl be harder to hit anyway seeing as your a moving target even if there ready for you. sharxboy
Re: "Pull!" It feels wierd to me to find a power that responds to a tactic used by the players. That kind of gives too much power to the mechanics doesn't it? I think I'd handle it a bit differently. If a guy is tossed in the air, and then actually hit by a shot, it'd be devistating, treat it as a suprise maneuver, give the heroes damage bonuses for stun and body since it's basically like being cold-cocked. The guy may be seriously injured or killed, then have them deal with the consequences. It's like holding a guy down in a fight and then having buddies kick him into unconsciousness. Fighting is one thing, the other is like aggravated assault. That maneuver would be great with robots, but used with humans it is bordering on cruelty. Even in the UFC fighting guys know when to stop. Check their disads since it could lead to death. Am I soft in my old age? Maybe... Southern Cross
Re: "Pull!" Actually,Sketchpad,i'd recommend anyone buying that sort of Teleportation to also buy it with the Position Shift adder so the victim can right himself (or herself) during the Teleportation. Chuckg
Re: "Pull!" The root of the problem is that you keep getting Grabbed. +DCV, Only Vs. Grab?
