kahuna's bro
Re: Teen Spy Campaigns There is a subgrnee of stories (mostly on television' date=' many animated) in which teenagers are recruited into international espionage work and prove to be extraodinarily good at it. I don;t have [i']Dark Champions[/i] yet, but since that seems to be the de fact source material for espeionage campaigns of all sorts, can the teen-spy camaign be handled well and how well would ti work. Aside from which, I'm wondering what people would rather see their camapigns inspired by: Kim Possible or Totally Spies!? the first teen spy show,to my knowlwge was butch cassidy and the sundance kids and at one point the hady boys were depictted as agents of atac[american teens against crime]
clsage
Re: Teen Spy Campaigns Not precisely teen spies but still.....one of my favorite mid 1980's films (especially as it drew some of it's inspiration from the live action game of the era "Killer" (AKA "Assasin"....AKA "Circle Of Death")..... Plus Linda Fiorentino.....sigh. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rm9oMGJDY-8 EDIT: okay....so you can't just click on it here...you have to watch this directly on YouTube.....sigh.... clsage
Aside from which, I'm wondering what people would rather see their campaigns inspired by: Kim Possible or Totally Spies!? While I got some enjoyment from Totally Spies, I would have to say that I think I'd enjoy a campaign inspired by Kim Possible more. I mean.... Global Justice. Shego. Rufus. What's not to like? And for those who are interested (and with a nod to the inimitable Mr Michael Surbrook ), here are versions of the core of Team Possible - Kim and Ron: http://surbrook.devermore.com/adaptationswesternanimation/kimpossible/kpkim.html and http://surbrook.devermore.com/adaptationswesternanimation/kimpossible/kpron.html -Carl-
sinanju
Re: Teen Spy Campaigns The strange thing is, the girls are all boy-crazy, yet all the fanfic is yuri. Is it overcompensation, or just the male fantasy that all hot chicks are bi? (A fantasy that the only hot chicks I ever knew in my life would find, frankly, rather insulting.) Having read (and written) fanfic for many, many years, my diagnosis would be: the fanfic is about what the authors find arousing. I like straight slash* or girl-girl stuff, myself, though I've read plenty of guy-on-guy fanfic because the story was interesting. I'm reminded of the scene in Supernatural where Dean and Sam discover the existence of a) their fans (in the tv show world) and slash fic written by the fans about them, about the Winchester boys being together. As in "together-together". Sam: They do know we're brothers, right? Dean: Doesn't seem to matter. *Even if "slash" originally meant mostly gay relationships, now it gets used interchangably. As for another not precicesly teen spies movie (the kid is only eleven), there's Cloak & Dagger. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloak_&_Dagger_(1984_film)
