Old Man
I'm thinking about starting a FH PBEM campaign. Home-brewed world with minor house rules. I have very little experience running one so I think I can only let a handful of people in. Anybody interested?

paigeoliver
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM Play by email. I never really understood how that was possible. Must be like those chess games that people make one move per year.

Captain Obvious
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM I'd be interested. My only gaming outlet these days is posting on these boards and doing conversions from other games to Hero system...
Rhys
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM That'd be cool. I'm GMing once a month, but it doesn't really give the fix i want. So put me on the I WANT IN!!! list.
CourtFool
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM I am in the same boat. No group, so I would definitely be interested.
Savinien
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM All of you should check out Herocentral.net. PBeM games don't give the same feel as F2F, but they have their own advantages.
arcady
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM There's nothing really there for Fantasy Hero though... It's all kind of funky... A DnD game (which doesn't belong there), a Harry Potter game, a post Apocalypse game, and a couple 'real world people dropped into this setting' games. And the DnD game is the only one taking people. arcady
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM Having said that there is nothing there up at HeroCentral, this would make a good thing to put up there... so that there is something there at Hero Central. Old Man
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM OK, have made campaign at Hero Central - After the Siege. I have no clue how stuff works there, just apply and we'll work it out as we go.
arcady
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM We have to apply to your campaign, and in doing so submit it by character name and if we have one ready, Hero Designer file. It says the Hero Designer part is optional - do you have Hero Designer?
Old Man
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM Yes, I have Hero Designer but because of the changes I made to stat generation I don't think it will work.
arcady
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM I just gave myself a custom power called "House Rules cost adjuster" and then listed in the description of it what it was adjusting the costs to. For the character I'm making so far, it made my Int cost 3 more, and my speed 3 less... for a net of zero.
Captain Obvious
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM OK' date=' have made campaign at Hero Central - After the Siege. I have no clue how stuff works there, just apply and we'll work it out as we go.[/quote'] Okay, I just applied. I don't have Hero Designer (math doesn't scare me ), but I don't have a driving need to play a particular character type either. If it's easier, for purposes of having a HD character file, for someone else to make a character and assign it to me, I'll accept it. If no one cares, I'll make a character to cover gaps in the party. Looking forward to it.
Old Man
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM You dont need HD, I can do it for you. I'm sure you would be happier creating your own persona, so do a write-up and email it to me
Captain Obvious
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM I know there were more people interested than myself and arcady. We need Rhys, CourtFool, and Stompy to go sign up!
MacBean
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM I'm not sure if I applied or not. After I hit the button, it sat there for a long time. Now when I go to the campaign info page, there's no 'apply to' button. I'm assuming that means it was successful but...
Guest joen00b
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM I've signed up, finishing my character now and will forward it to arcady to be put into HDP format for the website (thanks again for the offer, arcady). Works just been a little hectic and tomorrow I am training people, but will try to get it in pronto!
Savinien
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM I applied, too! Could the GM PM me? (I think it was Shadowpup?) I'm only going on my 'net connection at work and don't want to publish my email. So... What's next?
arcady
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM Once you apply, you have to wait for shadowpup to approve you. If somebody sent me something, I didn't get it. I would send it to shadowpup as well, so he can decide on it. All I've offered to do is play typist if you don't have the app and shadowpup doesn't have the time.
Old Man
Re: Fantasy Hero PBEM OK, I've got Arcady, Captain Obvious, Old Man, and somebody from off the boards. I'm keeping it at 4 players for now because I'm new at this, not because I want to reject anybody. If all goes well, I'll let you happy folks in.
