Thirdbase
In the FAQ it gives the amount of wood a woodchuck chucks as .2 cords per hour based on STR of 0 or less. My question is how does this increase as STR increases?
Jhamin
Strength is the only stat for which we get an exact answer. Each 5 points of Str doubles it's effect. Thus at 5 Str we get .4 chords per hour, 10 str gives .8, 15 gives 1.6 and so on. Of course you do have to take into account that at around Str 30 or so it becomes more cost effective to buy Transform: Wood to Chucked Wood. And always remember to buy up your End. Those little woodchuck bodies can't keep up otherwise.
Zaratustra
Nonsense. Chucking wood is clearly a Social Limitation.
Arthur
I think this belongs under the "Insanity" thread.
Steve Long
Jhamin is correct on the effects of STR. In some cases, size may factor in as well -- add .2 cords per 5 points of Growth (or equivalent thereof, based on the GM's judgment, use of Size/Weight packages in books, etc.). So, a woodchuck under the effects of a Spell of Enlargitude could really work his way through some cordage!
Delthrien
Unfortuantely... ... this is all academic. PETA would almost certainly become involved at some point. Those involved in an empirical study of the chucking capability of a woodchuck would almost certainly find both themselves and the cords of wood drenched in buckets of the blood of senselessly exploited woodchucks... Are you giving them appropriate rest breaks? Feeding them? Making sure they have good resting enviroment? Perhaps a hot tub & a massuese? Since a Woodchuck's purpose is to chuck wood, they shouldn't complain... Could you buy Autofire on a Woodchuck?
Agent Escafarc
Only if they are members of the International Union of Chuckers:p
Steve Long
Could you buy Autofire on a Woodchuck? Yes, but you have to pay the extra +1 because they're a non-standard attack and all.
Gary
Originally posted by Steve Long Yes, but you have to pay the extra +1 because they're a non-standard attack and all. Since the base str is 0, do all the advantages that you place on it in total cost 1 pt minimum, or does each separate advantage cost 1 pt? Steve Long
Yes, Chucking costs END, so a woodchuck could Push it, if appropriate given the circumstances.
