Re: Fantasy Web Resources

For maps & mapping utilities you need:

MapX

A great free mapping tool. The author is currently putting out a new version called DewMap, but the current version of MapX can still be downloaded.

Dundjinni

Not only a great mapping tool, but the user forums have tons of maps/adventures posted.

OpenOffice.org

This great office sweet has a drawing program that is very adept at making maps. Layering, transparency, and clip-art are all supported.

Fantasy Hero ship stats?

Does anyone have any links to Hero System stats for boats or ships? e.g BODY, DEF, Movement, etc., that more or less mimic medieval timeframe real-life ships? Deck plans would be great, but one of my players is more interested in the stats for designing such vehicles for use in my Fantasy Hero game on HeroCentral.net.

Thanks for any help!

I think Fantasy HERO Companion I (for 4th Edition) had a few deck plans. I haven't seen The Ultimate Vehicle yet, but I assume there are a few sailing ships written up there.

Re: Fantasy Web Resources

Great work Curufea! I have a few that I found (and didn't see in this thread):

Art and Visuals:

http://www.artmotive.com/rpg-art.html

http://www.selinafenech.com/rpgart.html

http://www.pen-paper.net/artshop.ph...emyJarvisRPGArt

http://www.alanpollack.com/pollackrpgart.htm

Random Society Generator: http://foreverworld.com/tools/society_generator.html

Any way to make this thread sticky? Any way to compile the links at the top categorically? Any chance of me being quiet and going away?

(being quiet and going away now...)
