Thia Halmades
Re: new to the hero system, so howdy!!!! Game. Set. Match. You should really check the write ups on the Star Hero thread. Get you some edumacation. Learn the difference between the two pistols, for one, and see the stat list I put together for Sheila. The worst part was building MJOLNIR, though. That's was, to be frank, a f'ing nightmare.
Thia Halmades
Re: new to the hero system, so howdy!!!! We're almost overwhelming?! I know I'M overwhelming. The rest of you lot are slipping, that's what you are. F'ing slipping. ALMOST overwhelming. Shape up, people!
Thia Halmades
Re: new to the hero system, so howdy!!!! That's odd. I'm used to getting auto-filtered in my text. So I have to ask, at the risk of sounding like someone who's eyes are deceiving him - if I put in a four letter word, are YOU guys seeing it (i.e., should I edit my post) or am I the only one seeing it? gojira
Re: new to the hero system, so howdy!!!! Board rules got changed recently. Auto filters are out. Moderators banning folks is in. You'll probably get a PM in a bit about keeping it clean. So yeah, no more f-bombs unless you're looking for trouble from the new sheriffs in town. Thia Halmades
Re: new to the hero system, so howdy!!!! Dr.A sent me a PM about it - I knew that at least three luminaries (Derek, Zornwil & I forget the third who I saw) were made moderators, but I did NOT know that the autofilter was removed. So. Editing done, corrections made. Apologies to thsoe with sensitive constitutions, I'm used to seeing ****ing in place of anything unsanitary. Thia Halmades
Re: new to the hero system, so howdy!!!! And thanks to Brother Jim - I thought I edited both of these and clearly failed. Moderators are fine, and if I were to trust any moderators it would be these cats here, but generally speaking the concept of 'thought police' always makes me twitch. HOWEVER. I trust the gents that got promoted, and will continue to do so. And thanks to those of you who confirmed my suspicions; I have no interest in offending anyone, and I got used to seeing the **** in place of any foul text I felt like spitting out that day, so it never made a difference. Now I'm FORCED to be creative. Curses.

Brother Jim
Re: new to the hero system, so howdy!!!! Getting creative with the language to say bad things without bad words can be fun. Unfortunately, I think about a gazillion times faster than I type. No, I don't think that fast, but I do type that slow.

AmadanNaBriona
Re: new to the hero system, so howdy!!!! Gah' date=' no, that's precisely the pacing I'm trying to AVOID. I've done more f'ing hack'n'slash games than I can reasonably count. I'm playing Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal right now, and that's doing the trick so far. Although Metropolis, as a level, is a whore.[/quote'] Thats a great game for getting out the urge to lay waste to large amounts of opponents and/or scenery without succumbing to classic vidogame "Yawn, not another 300 skeletons" boredom. Thia Halmades
Re: new to the hero system, so howdy!!!! Gah. now it'll be nothing but Paranoia & 1984 jokes. Ewww. Agreed, I avoid the NGD same reason you do. Political hotness is not the new hotness for me. Besides, one of my best friends is deep into politics, so I just talk to him whenever I need to know something. R&C: Up Your Arsenal is going really well (again) and I'm still enjoying. Scenery has no chance at all. I wanted 'sci-fi' and I don't have a LOT of games that fill that need. And the more I look around, I realize: not a lot of games fill that need. It's not me, it's the library. I think, had I PC, I'd look into EVE Online, because it looks like the sort of thing I want to be playing. Hopefully they'll release ARMADA II on the 360, and we'll see how that goes. But I want ships, with big guns, blasting the snot out of each other, shield management and the joy of interstellar combat. I'd also like Mass Effect but it's a long way away. Thia Halmades
Re: new to the hero system, so howdy!!!! I've already played that demo to death, and it does r0xx0r muh b0xx0rz. I'll be looking for a final review, and at worst, renting it upon release. It will really make my world if its cooperative, but as a Single Player experience I don't think I'll have any issues with it. If you haven't played to the end of the first mission, don't click below. Did you get to the end sequence against that giant boss armadillo thing? Did, by chance, you put your ass into some freaking POWER ARMOR AND ROCK ITS WORLD WITH TWIN MINIGUNS?!?! That DEFINED cool for me!
