Re: Did someone mention Trains?

For those of you who base their campaign on the East Coast you probably should know that the Pennsylvania Railroad was the largest. For the first four decades of the Twentieth Century carried 40% of the total U.S. freight traffic.

For those wanting some useful information (particularly passenger trains) on the railroad check out this site.

I am reminded that at least for a while, long long ago (~1970), you could get plans for railroad artillery pieces. They were offered in model railroad magazines (which we read for a while) for use by scratchbuilders. It's been years since I looked at those magazines, though.

NEATO!!

Back 30 years ago, the family used to go visit Grandmother in an obscure little town called Seaton-Portage. The only way in was by train, and that train was "The Budd Car" It kept running here in BC untill a few years ago when direct passenger rail service from Vancouver to Prince George was cut.

Thanks for the memory.
