  1. Re: Unwanted advances Sue Hetadorr-Enormay: Treat the Chavinist swine like the rest; use Hit things with other things, or maybe Shoot little guns (she's avoided using Shoot big guns indoors ever since she brought the house down.); she's a Macho Women with guns character, what do you expect? Emily Cascara: She's bisexual. Which one does she get? Whoever had better be ready to be the bottom tho' C. Claudius Centho Cornelianus Compelletor: I can't figure out how he got from 1231 AUC Rome to "modern day" comicbookland. Any event, he'd be bluntly rude, telling Tony Stark to go to Greece.
  2. Re: What would your character do #56? Big Q: what if it's happened to everyone in the MWWG-iverse?
  3. Re: Riff, Rocker Grrl With the Stats you've got, the Skills should be Please do the history all in the past tense or (if you have to ) the present tense. Not flipping back and forth.
  4. Re: WWYCD/W:The gift Emily Cascara: "What?! I haven't begged and pleaded the universe enough?! I have to go over it all again?! Fine!" Grab Santa, pin him to the wall, and scream her life story into his face. Probably forget herself and choke him half to death. PS: You don't want to know her life story. Unless you want the downer of all time. Sue Hetadorr-Enormay: "Oh *$&@, another Psychotic Psanta." Sigh. "I'll try to Macho him out, then blow him apart into Monster Chow™" C. Claudius Centho Cornelianus Compellator: Once the deal was explained to him, he'd be "Ah, some sorcery of the Traitor Faith." Then he'd signal the sacerdos to counter-charm, his best sagittarii and his decurions to hang back, and then have his men dog-pile the traitor. Who'd be hauled off to the torture chambers and everything he knows squeezed out of him. "We cannot let the Traitor Faith start to take root in Roma again!" And a Marley Xmas to you too, Boo-boo.
  5. Re: What would your character do #56? C. Claudius Centho Cornelianus Compellator---get the sacerdos to remove the curse. If that doesn't work, send one of the decurions to nicely ask the Flamina Junonis for help. Juno surely has no wish for men being turned into women! Emily Cascara---I'VE SPENT MY LIFE TRYING TO BE STRONG AND FAST AND POWERFUL AND RESPECTED FOR WHAT I CAN DO!! NOT BE MADE INTO A MAN, YOU $r*@(@!!! Probably scream herself hoarse. If she has any idea who did this, that poor *$@*( is in for a few days of being tortured to death. Sue Hetadorr-Enormay---Shoot herself. Better than what the rest of the team would do to her. That's assuming that, as a man, she can manage to figure out which end of a gun is which, and what it does. Cause men are really, really stupid. In the MWWG-iverse, anyhow.
  6. Re: Stone/Bronze Age help One more reason early cannons were bronze --- people were already casting big ol' things in bronze that were roughly the right size and shape. Of course, I mean bells. Think not? Look at a pic or an early bombard! Almost as wide as long (or tall from another POV), and about as big as a middle-size church bell. Just adapt the techniques, and your all set.

  8. into the first line, copy and paste all that Erkenfresh put up, then type
  9. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... The team's bard speciallizes in humorous shtuff. The team has an "expert in locks". The bard yells to the locks-man "There must be some way outta here." GM grabs a handful of dice and says "No Dylan imitations!!" So a couple of us started imitating Bono. She threw the dice anyway! I don't think that's fair.
  10. Re: Bizarre Spell Ideas There does. A mystic tome: The Book of Ship Jokes. Don't mistake for The Book of Cheap Jokes or The Book of Sheep Jokes! The Book of Ship Jokes contains all the real bad jokes about (more or less) ships. Reading from this book is likely to destroy the sanity of the reader and (if read aloud) the sanity of the listener. Or the sense of humor of the listener.
  11. Re: Childhood Skill Packages What is this? Never heard of it, but it sounds a bit interesting. Info would be appreciated. Interesting idea. Yeah, go ahead and post the occupations. Maybe post just some of them?
  12. Re: Bizarre Spell Ideas The Curse of Bagel: Your target is hit from above with a 1000 kg toroid of crusty bread product. This crushes him unless he's very strong of tough. Or can eat a lot. Really fast!!
  13. Re: Bizarre Spell Ideas Create Frock: Out of thin air, you create this just darling little dress, with just the right accesories. It's just perfect for those marvelous little parties, those afternoon soiree's, and all of those wonderful times you and "the girls" get together. Warning: causes gushing, speaking in simply italics my dear, and other empty-headed actions.
  14. Re: World: Players have laid down the LAW Did you all-cap "law" or does LAW stand for something? Light Anti-tank Weapon, maybe?
  15. Re: Need some Scandinavian Villains ! The Fnord Fjord! You didn't read that, it wasn't there.
  16. Re: What to do with your stuff... So you can sleep in like leather armor? Ah ha! Gotta point that out to a few folx I know. Hm... People sleeping in leather. Leather teddies, perhaps?
  17. Re: Bizarre Spell Ideas What time is it? It's Druid time!!: This spell can only be cast by a druid. It tells him the time, --- by dropping a complete megalithic circle around him! The caster then uses his druidic knowledge to tell the time, and walks away leaving the circle of stone right where they landed. Of course, this means a lot of very big heavy stones dropped on the area around him (from about ten meters up), and those stones stay when the druid goes. Lots of Side Effect only affects the environment near the character.
  18. Re: Did someone mention Trains? A most excellent link. Thanks!

  20. Re: The use of accents/voices in your game I've lived all across the USA, so I'm pretty good at USA accents. I'm with you on "register"; emphasis especially is a good tool. The best way to learn accents I know is to go to a "college town" and hang out where the Exchange Students do. Listen to how real life people sound. Surprising how much they vary - - - - there's not really a Such-and-such-istan accent.
  21. Re: Stone/Bronze Age help A bronze weapon is just about a shaped club after about the seventh or eighth *smack*. Bronze armor is heavy, hot, and expensive; elite troops get breastplate and greaves and that's all. Stones are cheap, plentiful, and (some kinds) can be made sharp as hell. Fact is, the fighters are about equally well equipped. Bronze age empires won out by being higher population, because bronze followed agriculture. Also, farmers are used to doing things on schedule, by "the book" and this was reinforced by imperial "bosses". So the bronze-using troops were better organized and better led. That, and that only, is why the Bronze Age empires beat the stuffing out of the Stone Agers.
